Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella Hubbard
Hi Gabriella, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a senior at East Forsyth High School, I am determined to turn my passion for fashion into a successful career. I am taking modeling and acting classes at About Faces Models & Talent to prepare for the runway and beyond, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Victoria’s Secret model. I am a bubbly, social person who loves interacting with diverse individuals and learning about their lives. Although I am new to this field, I have already secured a few modeling and acting gigs and am determined to succeed.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s not a smooth ride. I have to constantly go on the different casting websites to apply. It takes a lot of time and sometimes you don’t get a response back. But I’m lucky to have my mom as my agent and she does most of the applying for me. Also some of the jobs I get are low paying and some are far away but I still enjoy doing it because I get a lot of experience out of it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a student in high-school. I live with my mom and step dad and I have a good life at home. My parents spoil me. I am the youngest in the family, I have 4 older brothers and 2 older sisters. I love to travel, shop, go to the gym and hang out with friends. I just got back from a 9 day trip to Italy. One of my favorite things to do is photo shoots, being in front of the camera is my passion. I love taking pictures and I love clothes. When I was a little girl I had all the princess dresses and I would wear them all the time and loved when my mom took pictures of me.
I think what sets me apart from any of my friends is that i am very very social. I love to talk with just about anyone and ask about their life or what ever the subject may be. I enjoy being in person with people versus talking with them on the phone/social media. I started working at 14 years old at a Mexican restaurant and in the last few months I quit that job and got hired at Zaxby’s. My mom thought it was a good idea to change jobs and learn a new skill and get out of my comfort zone.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I am not afraid to try new things, even if it doesn’t work out for me at least I gain the experience. I have a lot of confidence.
