Hidden Gems: Meet Jc Shegog of STAC Shegog Training and Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jc Shegog

Hi JC, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After 15 years of military combat and training around the world with an additional 16 years of law enforcement experience as a patrolman, SWAT Team member, Team lead, and law enforcement Instructor and an additional to 9 years as an international government defense contractor I have discovered that people generally walk around with a victim mindset. Most people are under the impression that they are void of experiencing harm and danger even though harm and danger is all around us and harm and danger is visiting people we know everyday, People generally don’t develop their warrior side and at the same time overly work their gardener side and wonder why they hit glass ceilings in their personal development journey. I help people build resilience and teach them mental, physical, and emotional intelligence skills, strategies, and techniques with the 4 S’s which are safety, security, self preservation, and survival. These areas when properly applied reinforce your foundation and helps you while your are on your path to success and helps you remain successful after achieving your goals.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of my main struggles is that I use to stutter severely. My speech impediment gave me an inferiority complex. It’s wasn’t until I started accomplishing various goals like 1989 Army Post Boxing Champion at Ft. Gordon, 1990 European Kickboxing Champion in Germany, and 1995 US National Karate Team Member that I had to speak to crowds and cameras. These accomplishments bred confidence and helped me overcome my speech impediment to the point where you could barely notice it.
I also had to shake the blood thirst that constant exposure to war and combat would bring. I had to learn how to use the art of prevention and not lean on the art of confrontation. I had to almost relearn how to communicate to people because most people haven’t experienced life and death to that degree and as frequently. So, I had to learn better and more effective ways to communicate and express myself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
STAC – Shegog Training and Consulting helps individuals, groups, businesses, schools, and churches teach and train their family, friends, members, and staff how to be safe and survive harm and danger.
I specialized in personal safety and security through innovative trainings, seminars, and workshops.
I’m known for effective and innovative approaches to helping people survive harm and danger as well as recover and gain strength from being traumatized by harm and danger.
What set me a part from others is I have actually experienced the highest levels of harm and danger and I survived and learned to communicate to the point where I can help others avoid it and survive it.
I am most proud of my Total Self Defense Seminars. I teach 2 different applications to this seminar. One is for adults with a focus on Women. The other applications focuses on children’s safety and security.
I want readers to know that whatever it is that’s in your life it’s not truly yours unless you can secure it and protect it. That’s where STAC – Shegog Training and Consulting can help you. I have a book coming out in January 2025 titled The Safety Blueprint. It’s a manual for individuals as well as groups to teach people how to increase their safety and security intelligence and footprint in their everyday lives.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes I have and I teach this lesson in my various trainings, seminars, and workshops.
How Preparation Empowers!!!
The root word of preparation is prepare. Prepare broken down is Pre which means before and pare means two or comparing the two. We should be ready for a given situation (good or bad) before it happens if we are properly preparing for it. I use the “yin and yang” symbol as a visual learning tool. Its a complete circle divided into two equal halves. One side is black with a white small circle and the other side is white with a black small circle. One side means War and the other side means Peace. The symbol represents during times of peace we should take a little time to prepare for war so that during times of war we can find a little peace. Empowerment through Preparation.
