Check Out Bj Heintz’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bj Heintz

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

I’m BJ Heintz, the proud owner and founder of 2 Apples and a Peach Boutique. Our boutique’s name is deeply meaningful to me, inspired by my three children: Matthew and Madison, born in NY (Apples), and Lauren, born in GA (my little peach). It’s more than just a name—it reflects the love and care I have for my children.

At 2 Apples and a Peach Boutique, we specialize in a thoughtfully curated collection of boutique clothing for boys and girls. Each piece is hand-picked to reflect the stylish choices I made for my own children when they were younger. Our clothes are trendy, adorable, high-quality, and affordable, ensuring your little ones look their best.

We offer sizes ranging from 0-3M to 10-12Y in most styles, providing a wide array of options for every child. Whether you prefer to shop online or visit us in person, you can find us at our two locations: Home & Seasons in Acworth and the Cotton Mill Exchange in Canton or any of our pop-up events.

Our boutique was born from my desire to share the joy of dressing up children, just as I did with my own “2 Apples and a Peach.” From family photos to school pictures and special occasions, every outfit is chosen to create beautiful memories. I’ve often dressed my children just to capture those precious moments, and it’s immensely fulfilling to see our customers’ smiles when they see their little ones in our outfits.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We hope you adore our collection as much as we do! We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, ensuring you and your little one are always happy and ready to create more adorable memories together.

Warm regards and be sure to follow us on our social media accounts FB and IG to stay informed on our pop-up events and or updates.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
At times it can be smooth but there are times that it was not. I am also a FT HR Business Partner by day so trying to balance my FT job during the day then taking care of the business at night can be stressful sometimes.
Additionally being a mom and a wife and planning the next pop ups, sometimes I am overwhelmed.
Another struggle is increasing brand awareness and promoting the business. Marketing for small businesses can be very challenging with trying to land the right target customers and providing the right service and product.
Lastly, learning the art of Social Media being a great tool and asset to your business. Who knew about algorithms and all that it entails when trying promote your brand.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Field HR Business Partner for Walgreens, where I partner with Directors and District Managers to support store teams with Talent Development, Performance Management, Recruiting and Retention, Training & Development and Engagement/Labor Relation opportunities. I ensure my Business Partners are supported with the necessary tools, skills and resources to upskill their store teams and retain top talent.

I am known for problem solving, having a positive outlook on situations and helping my peers, colleagues and friends.

I think what sets me a part is my ability to build relationships and network with anyone in a room regardless if I have never met them.

I am able to have meaningful conversations with anyone and find a connection quickly, this has helped me numerous times within my 20 years at Walgreens. This has proven to be the same as I am able to connect with my boutique families oftentimes from the moment I meet them.

Before being an HRBP I was in Store Operations in various Leadership positions for 18 years, working with different customer bases, demographics, levels of leadership leading my store teams. This helped cultivated my confidence, leadership abilities, attention to detail and just enjoying building real relationships be the them best selves.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Every Christmas my mom would take us on a Christmas vacation to get away. It’s really memorable for me because after my parents divorced we really looked forward to getting away and just enjoying ourselves together.

I loved the drive to the beaches, staying in the resort ( we are from Jamaica) and enjoying fried fish on the beach just being kids. My brother and I cherish the memories from these trips. Sadly, our mom passed a couple years ago and we always reminisce on those days with her.
