Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Trimble
Hi Kayla , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I found my passion when I was very young, around 7 or 8. I fell in love with being able to do my own hair and started to do others. I started practicing and braiding on other people in high school and decided to start my brand. Once I graduated, I decided to become a licensed master cosmetologist. I decided to attend Clark Atlanta University while also completing Cosmetology school at Empire Beauty School. I have been working everyday ever since!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road has not been smooth because the industry has changed a lot since I’ve started and continues to change. You don’t need to pass out as many business cards lol. It’s mainly social media now.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work has always been hair. I’ve tried many different things but nothing compares I am transitioning into the legal field though, so we will see.
How do you define success?
Success is being able to laugh at the moments you’ve failed. Being able to profit from your passion without the need of a backup plan.
