Hi Huma, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey into real estate has been quite unexpected and transformative. Five years ago, if you had asked me what I envisioned for my future, selling real estate wouldn’t have crossed my mind. Although I grew up witnessing my parents prioritize real estate investing, as a science major, I was focused on pursuing a career in the healthcare industry.

However, when I started a part-time admin job with a real estate team during college, that experience opened my eyes to the real estate world. I found myself meeting new people, discussing their daily challenges, and realizing how much I genuinely enjoyed these interactions. I thrive on challenges, and with my inclination for problem-solving, I began to dive deeper into my admin role.

I often say, “Realtors not only sell homes but also provide ‘therapy’.” This perspective became more evident as I connected with clients on a personal level which I really enjoy. Within a few months, I was promoted to an operations role, which made me realize I needed to obtain my real estate license to make decisions independently.

Once I received my license, my journey gained momentum. I began monitoring my previous team’s production and exploring the intricacies of sales, all while being fortunate enough to have an incredible mentor by my side. Their guidance, support, and expertise were invaluable, helping me navigate challenges and encouraging my growth. From that point forward, there was no looking back. I completed my degree and focused on expanding my real estate business. Today, I lead my own small team, and I couldn’t be more excited about where this path has taken me.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey in real estate has been a true work in progress, and I’m really proud of how far I’ve come. It hasn’t always been easy, though. Keeping a positive outlook has been crucial in this highly competitive industry. There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes, from finding clients to creating effective marketing strategies and navigating the complexities of the market. With so many moving parts and different roles involved in each transaction, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. However, I’m very grateful for these challenges because all the hard work has only fueled my growth and success in this rewarding field.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Huma Sandhu Properties ?
As a realtor with Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners, I’m honored to serve the metro Atlanta area. Recently, I celebrated a significant milestone by ranking in the top 5% of my office, which consists of over 500 dedicated agents. However, for me, it’s not just about the accolades or numbers; it’s about the people I work with. I take pride in guiding both first-time and experienced homebuyers through their exciting journeys, listing homes for sale, and helping clients discover promising investment opportunities and cozy retirement options. I also love hosting client events that bring everyone together, fostering connections and building a strong sense of community.

What truly motivates me is the relationships I build. A large portion of my business comes from referrals, which reflects the trust I strive to earn from my clients. My team and I firmly believe that openness and honesty are the cornerstones of lasting relationships, and we prioritize clear communication throughout the entire process.

I recognize that buying or selling a home can be one of life’s biggest emotional journeys. That’s why I take the time to ensure my clients feel prepared and informed every step of the way. I encourage them to ask questions and express their concerns because their comfort and satisfaction are my main priorities. It brings me immense joy to see my clients feel confident and excited about their choices. I want to be more than just a facilitator; I aim to be a trusted advisor, walking alongside my clients as they make decisions that will shape their futures.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
A colleague in my Keller Williams Bold Class shared this quote: “Time is the only currency you spend without ever knowing your balance.” That really resonated with me. I refuse to follow the traditional path of retiring at 65- I don’t even know if I will be alive. Instead, I’m focused on living fully now—working hard, building a successful business, and saving for the future while truly enjoying life with my loved ones. It’s all about time management. Anyone who is reading this, I encourage you to ask yourself, “ what can you do NOW to live your best life and what’s stopping you.”
