Check Out Kinsley Williams’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kinsley Williams

Kinsley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am originally from Atlanta, GA. Growing up, I was always drawn to real estate; I spent so much time with my mom, a realtor, looking at houses. My parents owned several rental properties, so my weekends after basketball were remodeling, picking out tile, or vanities. It wasn’t until I reached 18 that I would consider ever becoming a real estate agent. As I grew older, I leaned toward playing sports during the weekends and spent less and less time looking at houses. This taught me the importance of resilience, teamwork, and strategy. I pursued an education at Georgia Southern University (Hail Southern) and discovered a passion for Public Health, specifically Environmental Health. This brought me closer to a real estate career, and I didn’t even notice it. I then traveled up north to start a career in Environmental Health. I was grateful for the opportunity, but something didn’t feel right. After a short stint there, I returned home and took a chance in Higher Education. With more free time, I decided to obtain a real estate license. My first attempt at the class was a massive failure. It was a self-paced online course that I couldn’t keep up with. Here’s where that perseverance came from: what I learned from sports. I attempted the class again and was able to obtain my license. Today, I find myself working with Maximum One Realty Partners, where I am a licensed real estate agent. My mother and I have formed a team called Williams Investment Group. My mother is one of my biggest inspirations, supporters, and business partners. I continue to grow and learn, driven by my passion for helping people find their dream homes, secure their financial futures, or add to their portfolios.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all. I was two years into my career before I decided to pursue real estate. I took an online asynchronous class the first time I tried to get my real estate license. Needless to say, I didn’t finish the course. After a few months of procrastinating, I gave it another go, committing to studying every weekday for about 12 weeks, all while working 40–50 hours a week at my full-time job. I’m still in the early stages of my journey as an agent, so there’s been a learning curve and an adjustment period. But I’m taking it one step at a time and am determined to keep going.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The qualities I believe are most important to my success are active listening and understanding. I make it a priority to truly listen to my clients, paying attention to their needs, wants, and concerns, so that I can serve them in the best possible way. Whether working with seasoned investors, new investors, or first-time homebuyers, each group requires a different level of expertise and understanding. It’s not just about hearing their words—it’s about understanding the motivations and emotions behind them. My goal is always to provide exceptional service and deliver a personalized experience that meets each client’s unique needs with the utmost care and attention.
