Rising Stars: Meet Morganne Stanberry of Bethlehem, Ga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Morganne Stanberry

Hi Morganne, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I was in high school, I was given an iPad and asked to make school announcement videos with it. Soon after, I fell in love with producing and editing videos, so I bought my first camera set up. Over the next 3 years, I created so many fun videos with friends and I even made a tribute video to all of the seniors in my class that was played at our graduation! After high school, I went to the University of Georgia and earned my Entertainment and Media Studies degree. During my time in college, I started my business (Morganne Taylor Creative) on the side and began taking on clients in all sorts of phases of life (weddings, graduations, families). Right out of college, I worked for a private Christian school in their marketing department as a digital content creator and I absolutely loved it, but I knew that I wanted to take my business full-time one day. Fast forward to today, I decided to take the leap and quit my job back in July to pursue Morganne Taylor Creative full-time. God has blessed me and given me success in this industry, and I am so thankful for my friends and family who helped me get here.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being self-employed is definitely challenging at times because you are never guaranteed your next paycheck, but I have learned to lean into the challenge and get work done. In addition, being in the creative industry can be hard sometimes because burnout is a real thing. Every so often I try to take a day to be inspired, to really get back to the reason why I started this business in the first place. Inspiration can come in many different forms, but I would say that I like to see it through exploring, spending time with my daughter, interacting with others and attending church.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a filmmaker and photographer, specializing in weddings and lifestyle content. I am currently most proud of my growth in video editing and social media marketing. I put everything I have into my work because I want my clients to love their final product as much as I do. I strive to create the best experience from start to finish because I want people to be able to cherish their memories together and look back on some of the best days of their lives.

What matters most to you? Why?
God and my family matter most to me because without them, I wouldn’t be able to make it in this creative industry. I give the glory to God for all of my success!
