Today we’d like to introduce you to Dakota Pease
Hi Dakota, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Dakota and i work at Jéa salon and spa in Woodstock. I am originally from central florida, and moved to georgia 10 years ago. I finished high school and I knew I wanted a career that would impact people’s lives. I have always loved being creative and expressing myself with my creativity. I have always loved helping people, and love to be the safe space for people and help people feel like they matter. Doing this and making people feel confident gives me purpose.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Learning new skills can be difficult. It takes a lot of patience with yourself and dedication. I’ve had many dreams about cutting hair during my time in cosmetology school and i would think about angles, elevation, and over direction on my car rides anywhere during that time too. Along with school I worked full time, which spread me pretty thin.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I would say that i specialize in layered cuts with a lot of texture. What sets me apart is my love for everything hair, from creating edgy shags and funky haircuts to transforming clients with IBE®️ extensions. My clients mean the world to me, and I work hard to make every experience with them full of positivity and joy. I bring fun and my goofy personality into each session, and I love making people laugh and feel uplifted. My goal is for every client to leave not just looking amazing, but feeling fantastic,
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the location of the city, we’re not far from the beach and not far from the mountains. We really get the best of both worlds. The city has so much to do as well and i love how friendly most people are. I will say the traffic here is pretty rough, but that’s really it.
