Conversations with Donna Cline

Today we’d like to introduce you to Donna Cline.

Donna Cline

Donna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We literally started organically when my husband planted too many tomato plants 4 years ago and we decided to sell them. I added flowers that I grew and we continue to grow every year.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a pretty smooth road because of the overwhelming support of everyone that visits The Wagon at Bethany Bend.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The Wagon at Bethany Bend is a bright spot in the community for everyone that passes by. We have people thanking us all the time for doing what we do and they say it brightens their day. I had a catering business in Peachtree City GA for 14 years and I always loved making centerpieces on certain occasions and always thought that I would love to be a floral designer when I retired.
Retirement has become a full time job keeping The Wagon stocked and taking custom orders and making local deliveries.
It makes me smile to see the look on people’s faces when flowers are involved.
I think what sets us apart that makes us special is the personal touch since this business is at our home and we get to visit with everyone.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I think more and more floral designers are going to start working from their homes and growing their own florals or start buying locally grown flowers when they are in season.
