Rising Stars: Meet Karyna Perahudava

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karyna Perahudava

Hi Karyna, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I moved to the US from Belarus 5 years ago with my family, and it’s been such a journey, and I’m thankful for every bit of it! I love people, making deep connections, dancing, traveling, ice-skating and being active. I’m a fashion and digital marketer, model and a content creator. I work at the modeling school, participate in apparel fashion shows in Atlanta and Vegas, and do freelance modeling. I recently graduated with the Bachelors Degree in Media Entrepreneurship and want to actively develop my skills in media and content creation. I’m always looking for opportunities to expand my network and career experience, so I’m always interested to collaborate and work together with other creatives. Currently I’m in the Bible School in Florida for a semester to learn, dig deeper into the Word of God and grow my relationship with the Lord. I recently started my YouTube channel and I really have on my heart to keep going and growing my blog, and potentially start a podcast. I love God and know that all I have and can do is because of Him and for His glory. I love people and actively serve in my church in worship and kids ministry.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was a pretty smooth road actually, which I really thank God for. The hardest part is always to get started in the industry and figure out where to go. I need to constantly remind myself that every little step is still a step and reaching a big goal consists of being consistent in working towards it day by day. We always tend to compare ourselves to others, but I’m learning to rather get inspired from people who’re further in the career and learn from their experience, as well as cheer on and encourage people along the way. We’re our biggest enemies when it comes to fear of something new, that we never experienced before, but as soon as we overcome that, choose faith over fear, step out of our comfort zone, this is where the growth and opportunities begin.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work as a social media manager and an executive assistant at the modeling school. I love creating content and connect with our students. I really enjoy when I get to teach classes and share some tips and advice. My job allows me to be creative and truly love what I do. I also model myself for an online sport warehouse and for some bridal and prom boutiques. I interned as a PA for fashion events and get to travel for apparel trade shows. I think what sets me apart is authenticity. I always try to stay true and embrace my personality, be intentional and reliable. I think it’s so beautiful to see and bring the best in people, encourage and grow together, so I’m trying my best to do that with people I get to meet along the way. I’m very thankful to God for the opportunities He’s given me and I know it’s just the beginning. I’ll be faithful in the present and continue to grow and learn.

What matters most to you? Why?
I have a heart for encouraging and building up women of all ages to walk confidently in their identity and calling, because when a woman is rooted in Christ – nothing can stop or break her, nothing can steal the joy and peace in any circumstance. I think what matters to me the most is to live out the purpose I was created for and use the gifts and talents the Lord placed in me to the fullest. I want to be the light and change wherever I go, to love Jesus and people and bring community and hope to the lost and brokenhearted.
