Life & Work with Jah’lil Brooks of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jah’lil Brooks

Hi Jah’lil, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all began with me taking my mom camera. I started taking it to school vlogging daily. Eventually she saw how much I enjoyed being behind the camera and my creativity. She started getting me small gigs to shoot helping me perfect my craft more and more. From that point on i just gravitated to it and now I’m here today .

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I encountered some struggles at the beginning of my career. I wasn’t sure what field of film I wanted to focus on. It took a lot of trial and error. I started with basic photoshoots, and now I have progressed to do videography.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a wide range of skill in film, and I would day I am a self-taught artist. I specialize in videography, but I also have knowledge and skill with photography as well.

I am most proud of my perseverance through my self journey. Through all the hard times, I continued to pursue a greater knowledge.

I have always been the guy to get the job done, and I think my attention to detail makes my work more impactful.

What are your plans for the future?
Short-term, I would like to gain more experience. I have been updating more of my equipment for higher quality videos. I am continuing my education in videography through one-on-one sessions.

Long-term, potentially owning my own studio would be great. I want to be able to pour back into the community that helped grow me.
