Hi Michaela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to creating spaces that feel orderly and peaceful. My passion for organization began with arranging my childhood dollhouse, and over the years, I’ve found myself instinctively transforming the spaces of family and friends. This isn’t just a hobby; it’s a part of who I am—a calling that brings me immense satisfaction. While some might playfully call it “OCD,” I see it as a personal strength that lets me bring calm and order to others.
As a mother, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to keep a home tidy amidst the whirlwind of daily life. Balancing all of life’s demands inspired me to take this path professionally, helping others experience the tranquility that comes with an organized home. Through my passion and expertise, I aim to make a positive impact on people’s lives, one well-ordered space at a time.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It certainly hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like any new business, I faced my share of challenges, especially in the beginning. One of the biggest hurdles was establishing a strong reputation, which took both time and effort. Every positive review from a client became invaluable, helping me grow and giving others the confidence to book my services. Each step required patience and perseverance, but those early struggles were essential in getting my business to where it is today.

At MHO, our mission is simple yet impactful: we help people simplify their lives, declutter their spaces, and create homes they genuinely enjoy returning to each day. We’re a customer-centric, dynamic home organization company focused on making life easier and more enjoyable through a well-organized environment. My work goes beyond tidying up – it’s about bringing peace, structure, and a sense of joy to people’s lives.
What sets MHO apart is our understanding of the personal side of home organization. Each person has their own story, their own set of memories attached to their belongings, and their own unique needs. We’re not a one-size-fits-all service. My approach is truly collaborative – I work closely with my clients to understand what matters to them, what stresses them out, and what they ultimately want from their space. It’s about crafting a space that reflects who they are and serves them in practical, meaningful ways.
Home organization isn’t just about boxes, labels, and storage solutions; it’s about creating a sense of calm and order in a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I want people to walk through their homes and feel an ease, a sense of belonging, and the freedom to focus on what truly matters to them.

I’m incredibly grateful to my early clients who believed in my vision, many of whom spread the word about MHO and referred me to friends and family. Their trust, positive feedback, and support have played an enormous role in my growth. Some even allowed me to work on highly personal spaces that required both sensitivity and patience, which helped me understand the impact that a thoughtfully organized home can have on someone’s daily life and well-being.
Then, of course, my husband and best friend, who has been my cheerleader from day one. He has provided encouragement and pushed me forward, especially during times when the challenges of running a business felt overwhelming.
