Community Highlights: Meet Justin Jenkins of The Carpet Guru

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Jenkins

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was looking at the carpet around the house and realized that it needed to be cleaned and shampoo. So I called around to a few different places to get an estimate. Several companies came out to the house and began to tell me astronomical prices that I just couldn’t see myself paying. So I went online to Amazon and found a carpet cleaner and cleaned and shampoo my own carpet. It was at that moment I realized I have a real niche for carpet cleaning. So I began to post pictures and advertise my company and services. My business is still in the growing process. Hope to have more success within the upcoming year

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. When I first started to post on my instagram page I had several leads and I thought maybe I could’ve had a few clients however, that was not the case. A lot of potential clients said my prices were very affordable however, our schedules just didn’t align. That’s been my biggest setback with a few potential clients.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Carpet Guru?
I specialize in carpet cleaning/shampooing. I’m most proud of the fact that I’m very ambitious and when things get complicated I tend to find the encouragement with my relationship with God and dig deep within myself to keep going no matter what, What sets me apart from other carpet cleaning business’s is that my prices are affordable and the quality of my work is worthwhile and neat.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I would say I have several mentors who have indirectly helped me with being or achieving success in this field. They helped me become a better person by setting the example of what it means to be a man of character and integrity. I want to give a shout out to all the people who came in my life and pushed me to be a greater man whether it was in my personal life, professional life, and spiritual life. Shout out to Christian Morton, Kamhron Claiborne, Dajuan Warren, Santrell Carson, Brian Donaldson, and Quinton Pryor – these are just a few of the 25 ppl who had an impact on my life.
