Today we’d like to introduce you to David Hill Jr
Hi David, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in photography back in high school as an extra curriculum for the school newspaper. That’s when I knew I had an eye for photography. Once I graduated I walked away from photography for a while.
I travel a lot now being that I’m constantly in different places around the Map I decided to pick back up on photography. I enjoy capturing everything but my main has been concert photography. I previously captured some great content at the Roots Picnic as well as The One Music Festival. As a Photographer I got to meet a lot of great people who inspired me to continue my journey in photography.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No road is smooth, but some of the struggles I have experienced along the way was rejection to some events. It definitely motivated me to step my game up and keep going forward until the breakthrough
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a photographer who specialize in event photography/ videography. I am known for capturing some epic shots of music artists performing at the concerts. I am most proud of how my work that I captured over the years. Especially this year alone. Getting to capture images at different concerts and celebrity events.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Yes I wouldn’t be where I am if it wasn’t for my daughter’s. They motivate me to created a legacy that they will one day be something they can cherish and maybe use in their future. My wife who supported me throughout my journey back into photography. I also have two content creators who definitely showed their support in assisting me on events traveling to different states and being great teammates. Also I had the pleasure of meeting and working with an amazing photojournalist by the name of Walil Archer who definitely inspired me to never give up and make the best of my opportunities
