As a first-generation immigrant, I embraced every opportunity to create a better future, earning an associate degree and beginning my career as a trucker for Ryder Logistics. Together with my wife, Melanie, we launched two successful businesses: Lyder Logistics, and Seek Ye First Logistics, two flourishing trucking companies that continue to grow.
In 2022, Melanie and I took our entrepreneurial journey to new heights by starting Lyder’s Towing LLC. Along with my brother Marvin, who plays an integral role in the success of our companies, he and I started it all. This young and growing company is fueled by our immense dedication and sweat equity. We specialize in towing personal vehicles, commercial vehicles, tractor-trailers, and oversized loads, offering 24/7 emergency service with an unwavering emphasis on professionalism and customer satisfaction. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road for us at Lyder’s Towing LLC. Like many others, we faced significant challenges during the 2020 pandemic, which was particularly tough for our trucking company. It tested our resilience and forced us to adapt quickly to new ways of operating.
In 2023, we encountered setbacks with Lyder’s Towing LLC as well. Starting and growing a business in a competitive industry is never easy, and we faced obstacles that tested our determination and patience. However, we view these perceived losses as invaluable lessons. Each challenge taught us something new, helping us refine our processes, strengthen our resolve, and build the foundation for our current and future success.
These experiences remind us that setbacks are just steppingstones to greatness, and they have made us stronger and more prepared to serve our community with excellence.
