Hi Ebony, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey has been one of transformation and empowerment. During my time in the military, I served as a cook and also taught culinary arts to the Youth Challenge program in Ft. Stewart, GA. Teaching gave me the opportunity to mentor and inspire others, which planted the seeds for what would become my life’s work.
After leaving the military, I decided to follow my passion for technology. I completed a year-long boot camp and earned certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, and CEH. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of IT roles—support, engineering, administration, management, and teaching—which gave me a well-rounded perspective on the tech industry.
One of the most rewarding experiences in my career was helping formerly incarcerated individuals build new futures through technology. Witnessing their growth reaffirmed my commitment to empowering others, which led to the creation of NCredible Mindz, the company I founded to connect top talent with career opportunities in IT.
NCredible Mindz was born out of a deeply personal experience during my time as an IT instructor in a second-chance program. I mentored a homeless student who relocated across the country to work with me. In just 2.5 weeks, with my guidance, he secured a job paying above the national average and achieved multiple promotions within two years.
Today, through NCredible Mindz, I focus on creating meaningful, long-term placements where professionals thrive and businesses succeed. My vision includes launching a call center to provide entry-level opportunities for individuals transitioning into tech and expanding course offerings to help people upskill and excel in their careers.
At the core of my mission is a commitment to helping others build lasting legacies, thrive in their careers, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road! Before I landed my first IT job, I was working two jobs back-to-back just to make ends meet. I was so stretched thin that I would sleep in my car for about two hours in between shifts. That period of my life was incredibly challenging, both physically and mentally, but it taught me resilience and the value of hard work.
I’ve also faced my fair share of failures, especially when it came to interviews. I’ve failed so many that I’ve become pretty good at them now! Repetition beats fear, and each experience taught me something valuable about presenting myself, understanding what employers are looking for, and improving my confidence.
Those struggles helped shape who I am today. They gave me the grit to keep pushing forward, and now I use those lessons to help others succeed in their journeys.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is playing basketball. I was an athletic teenager—I played high school basketball, AAU basketball, threw shot put and discus in track, played softball, and was in the marching band. I even played multiple instruments in the marching band, switching from clarinet to saxophone to bass drum—you name it, I played it! I traveled a lot for AAU basketball, and I’ll never forget coming home to see a welcome sign from my mom. What made all of this so special was living with my mom and sister—we were such a Trio. Even though I could see them cheering in the stands, I was always excited to rush back home to a house filled with love and affection. My mom, who has passed away, was so loving and fun. Me and my sister are still really close today.
