A few factors inspired the creation of Recovery by Nurse Beauty. I’ve been a registered nurse for 11 years, spending most of my career in emergency and trauma care. While rewarding, it eventually led to burnout, which prompted me to explore other ways to use my nursing skills beyond the bedside.
In 2020, I underwent an elective surgery and witnessed firsthand how the cosmetic surgery market in Atlanta had grown—and the significant gaps in education and aftercare. My own less-than-ideal recovery experience highlighted the misinformation surrounding procedures, aftercare, and potential risks. I realized someone needed to bridge the gap, ensuring patients safely navigate their journey to achieve their desired results.
I pursued further education, becoming a certified lymphatic drainage therapist, and launched Recovery by Nurse Beauty. The business grew organically through word of mouth, and it’s been rewarding to provide a service that truly makes a difference.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been without its challenges. The biggest obstacle has been addressing the false information and unrealistic expectations surrounding the cosmetic surgery process. Educating each inquiring individual takes time, as one question often leads to many more. To streamline this, I created an interactive surgery guide—a comprehensive resource to prepare and guide clients through their cosmetic surgery journey safely. It includes everything from questions to ask when choosing a surgeon, selecting a post-op provider, do’s and don’ts, expectations, supply lists, and more.

Additionally, we offer body sculpting services as a non-surgical alternative.

I’m most proud of our holistic approach to client care.
