Today we’d like to introduce you to Mayori Hipps.
Hi Mayori, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi I am Mayori and this is my story. I am a 22 year old multi-disciplinary creative being, director, and vessel of divine energy. My whole life I have always lived in my authenticity, in how I thought, how I dressed, how I perceived the world around me. My story started off here in East Atlanta. A young girl who saw dancing, singing, and fashion as forms of natural expression. That young girl with all her confidence, curiosity, and passion followed her first dream as a child: fashion design. I studied in Philadelphia, graphic design in London, then moved to New York to live in my dreams.
That’s when I learned the unlimited possibilities of what I can become and how many creative ways I can further express my vast mind of ideas. I learned more about photography with film, producing/creating concepts, and editorial styling. I moved back to Atlanta October 2023 after deciding I did not want to return to school.
This one year of stillness has been my most transformative experience yet. Being in solitude, connecting with Mother Earth, increasing my creative capacity, listening to the messages I receive, trusting in my ability to do anything. I have reunited with my inner child, remembering what I truly came into this life to do and to be.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life was never meant to be easy but to be a constant game of mastering your existence. I would definitely say any struggle has been a lesson to learn. I don’t even keep count of them anymore. I have the gift of seeing the beauty of everything, and operating with solution based knowing. The biggest struggle I have overcame is nonphysical, but more so a battle within. This year especially I have overcame lack mindset, lack of belief and trust, lack of seeing how powerful I was created, and lack of loving all parts of myself inside and out.
Now I am back to the purity and confidence that is our divine birthright as a child. I have let go of the need to be accepted or liked by anyone outside of me. My caliber of success is not definitive on this 3D existence, it is derived in the ability to live in freedom doing what I love! Embodying the frequency of our Divine Creator in this material world.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a creative genius! I have a true gift of sight, being able to see things beyond what they are by living in my imagination. I continue growing and expanding my knowledge of life, in addition to, how I express myself in a multitude of mediums. Currently I am a fashion designer, healer, creative director, cinematographer, textile artist, muse, and stylist. I feel there are so many ways to share my experiences or perceptions of the world. I truly feel that is what art truly is about.
I feel what sets me apart is my authenticity. I radiate high confidence in every way I show up in this world, and anything I create is an extension of that. Authenticity is our true freedom. Our society exists in a world of homogenized identities, trends, and realities. I am inspired by real life, my experiences, the places I have traveled, Mother Nature, books, magazines, movies, and art exhibitions etc . I feel that anything you see visually impacts your perception of what you know is possible. My creations are truly for my own personal experimentation/expression, and if other people feel it that means I’m in alignment to the vision. I live in deep gratitude to be a beacon of light on Earth and a conduit of unlimited possibilities.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Of course, books and magazines are some of my favorite sources for inspiration and overall guidance in life. A book that truly awakened me on my spiritual journey is “The Sacred Woman” by Queen Afua. It is a wonderful book based on Kemetic (Egyptian) spiritual practices, principles, and prayers that activates your inner knowings of existence. That is one book I truly live by with embodying the 42 laws of Ma’at (ethical guidelines for fundamental order of the universe), and how to commune with ancestors/ nature.
Another book that truly awakened me into living in a higher frequency is “Becoming Supernatural” by Dr. Joe Dispenzsa. This book intertwines quantum physics and spiritual practices by reprogramming your mind/body to live in higher frequency emotions. Some examples of higher frequency emotions are gratitude, love, unlimitedness, and empowerment. By living in these emotions you learn how they attract your most desirable reality, and you also see how your past lower emotions of anger, guilt, and jealousy created that reality as well.
These two books have truly altered my reality and complete perception of life. Through meditation and introspection you find deep truth. I speak so much life upon myself and others everyday because our words have so much power!
