Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Rolader Martin
Hi Emma, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story is deeply rooted in Atlanta, where I was born and raised as a descendant of generations of proud Atlantans. Growing up surrounded by a rich legacy of family and community here, I developed a love for bringing people together, which became a defining thread in my life.
After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, I returned to Atlanta, eager to start my career. I honed my skills working with brands like Delta Air Lines and other global organizations, planning large-scale events and executing integrated digital campaigns. These experiences deepened my passion for creating meaningful and well-executed gatherings.
In time, life and work took my family to Nashville, where I’ve embraced the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. While I’ve expanded my reach across the Southeast (and the country!), my Atlanta roots remain a core part of who I am and what I bring to my work.
Today, I’m proud to combine my creative vision, attention to detail, and deep appreciation for Southern traditions to craft unforgettable weddings, milestone events, and corporate experiences. Whether in Atlanta, Nashville, or beyond, I’m driven by a passion for helping others celebrate life’s most special moments.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oh gosh, is it ever a smooth road? All things considered, I often find myself reflecting on how lucky I am to have passions in life and the ability to chase them. While there have been challenges, I’ve learned to view these as opportunities to grow and reflect.
For me, the beauty of chasing your passions is that even the tough moments are part of a larger journey toward something meaningful. Right? It has to be. What keeps me grounded is the sense of purpose that comes with doing work I truly love. There’s a unique joy in seeing an idea come to life, knowing that it will create memories for others. It’s not always easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding to pursue something that feels so deeply fulfilling. The challenges remind me how fortunate I am to do what I love, and they make the moments of success all the more special.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is centered around creating unforgettable events that blend thoughtful design with seamless execution. I specialize in full-service event planning, with a focus on unique decor / designs and floral concepts that reflect my clients’ personalities and visions. This is what we are known for!
What I’m most proud of is my ability to take a client’s dream / thought / idea and elevate it into something truly reflective of them, their brand, their personality. Whether it’s curating a tablescape that tells a story, designing a branding identity for a corporate conference, or coordinating logistics so everything flows effortlessly, I approach each project with the same creativity and passion.
It’s that blend of connection and creative artistry that drives everything I do for my clients and everything we do at Emma Martin Events.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
As a triplet, so many of my fondest childhood memories revolve around spending time with my siblings. Growing up together meant constant adventure, shared laughter, and a bond that was uniquely ours.
Some of my favorite moments were spent at my grandmother’s house near Peachtree Battle. We’d spend hours playing in the neighborhood creek, hidden within an unbelievable bamboo forest. We’d play and let our imaginations run wild as we explored nature and created our own little world.
I often think about the sense of connection and simplicity of those moments. There’s a good lesson there for us all.
