Today we’d like to introduce you to The Rack
Hi The RACK , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The RACK was established in late 2019 in Atlanta, Ga. Formed by four members who were involved in other projects, but sought to create a sound that allowed them to showcase their edgier side. The band consists of bass, drums, guitar, and the wide ranging vocal styles of a female front.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We create Hard Pop Rock music with an Alternative edge. We are known for putting on a great live show when and wherever we perform. We are most proud of our performance at the AfroPunk Festival 2023 in Brooklyn, New York. We believe what sets us apart from others is the way we merge our sounds and individual experiences.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Absolutely, it highlighted the power of connecting. Though everyone was quarantined, it showed the need we have for connection holds a universality. The feeling of isolation can sometimes be fearfully consuming. Luckily, we can use the internet to share our message of togetherness with our music.
