Today we’d like to introduce you to Evita Smith
Hi Evita, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Helping people thrive has always been my passion. I believe in empowering others to achieve their goals and live out their purpose. Throughout my life, I’ve been blessed with mentors and supporters who championed me, helping me reach milestones I never imagined. That experience planted a desire in me to do the same for others—meeting them where they are and guiding them toward becoming the best version of themselves, both spiritually and holistically.
My journey began over two decades ago when I embraced the call to ministry. After years of volunteering and seeking clarity on what that call truly meant, I stepped fully into preaching 21 years ago. That decision opened doors for formal theological education and opportunities to serve in various leadership roles—from youth pastor to administrative ministry roles, and eventually as an executive pastor and church planter. For the past 15 years, I’ve had the honor of pastoring and planting a church, helping individuals grow in their faith and live as God desires.
However, I knew there was more to my purpose. I felt a deeper pull to expand how I serve others, and that’s when I discovered coaching. Thanks to Dream Releasers Coaching, founded by Drs. Sam and Brenda Chand, I earned my coaching certification. From there, I pursued further specializations in health and wellness, cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT), and stress management. Currently, I’m advancing my expertise through studies in Sports Nutrition and Personal Training.
These experiences led to the creation of Exceptional Living Empowerment Coaching and Training, a platform dedicated to helping individuals uncover their purpose, develop as leaders, and overcome health and wellness challenges to become their best selves. In 2024, we launched two initiatives: FitPastor, a group focused on helping pastors and ministry leaders achieve holistic health, and Exceptional Wellness, which empowers individuals to take control of their overall well-being.
My journey has been a blend of faith, service, and personal growth, and I’m passionate about helping others achieve the same transformation in their own lives.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Staying the Course Through Challenges
The journey to discovering your purpose is rarely a smooth road. Just when you think you’ve found clarity, life has a way of introducing obstacles that can propel you forward or, at times, pull you backward. It’s a journey of perseverance, trial, and self-discovery. For me, what has always anchored me is the unwavering call of God on my life and my deep desire to help others thrive.
Over the years, I’ve had to navigate multiple iterations of my ministry and business. Early on, I founded a mentoring program for at-risk boys, driven by the lack of resources available to them. That work later evolved into partnerships with local schools, allowing our church to serve broader community needs. Eventually, I expanded my efforts to mentoring young girls, always guided by a responsibility to help people uncover their purpose and worth while empowering them to become the best versions of themselves.
However, passion alone does not remove the challenges. Whether it’s launching a ministry, planting a church, or building a business, the road is fraught with obstacles. Managing personnel, securing resources, and addressing specific needs require resilience, creativity, and a willingness to adapt. There were moments when everything and everyone seemed to suggest giving up, but my commitment to my calling kept me moving forward.
What has sustained me through these challenges is the wisdom and guidance of a strong support system. Wise counsel has been invaluable in helping me think through and talk through difficult situations, allowing me to remain steady even in the face of uncertainty. For anyone pursuing their passion, I cannot overstate the importance of surrounding yourself with people who provide encouragement, perspective, and support to help you stay the course.
Ultimately, the challenges are a reminder that pursuing what you’re truly meant to do requires not just passion but also persistence and faith. Each obstacle is an opportunity to grow and deepen your commitment to the work you’ve been called to do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I work collaboratively with my clients to help them identify their strengths, overcome limiting beliefs, and develop practical strategies for achieving their goals. I believe that coaching is a process of self-discovery, and I am committed to providing a supportive and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their inner world.
My Services
I offer a range of coaching services, including one-on-one coaching sessions, group coaching, workshops, and online courses. My areas of expertise include leadership coaching, holistic wellness coaching, stress management, and personal development.
What Sets Me Apart?
What truly sets me apart as a coach is my ability to seamlessly integrate spiritual practices into life, leadership and wellness coaching. While many coaches focus solely on traditional methodologies, I take a more holistic approach by addressing the core of who my clients are—mind, body, and spirit.
I believe that personal and professional growth is most impactful when rooted in purpose and guided by faith. By incorporating spiritual practices, I create a safe space for clients to explore their goals and challenges from a faith-based perspective. This approach not only helps clients achieve their desired outcomes but also aligns their growth with their values, fostering deeper transformation.
For me, coaching isn’t just about success; it’s about helping individuals unlock their full potential while staying connected to their spiritual foundation. This combination of practical strategies and faith-centered insight is what makes my coaching unique and profoundly effective.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk-taking is an inevitable part of creating or launching something new. Even with thorough preparation and due diligence, there’s always an element of uncertainty—whether it’s planting a church, starting a business, or pursuing a bold vision. The unknowns of how something will be received or whether it will succeed are ever-present, but they are also part of the journey toward growth and impact.
For me, risk-taking involves both faith and strategy. It’s about investing time, finances, and energy into something you believe in, even when there’s no guarantee of success. Whether it’s targeting a specific audience or bringing a big idea to life, the possibility of failure is always there—but so is the potential for incredible reward.
My personal mantra is simple: “Go hard or go home.” If I believe in something deeply, I’m willing to take the leap because I know the regret of not trying outweighs the fear of failure. I view risk as a necessary step toward purpose and growth. It’s about betting on your passion, your vision, and your ability to rise above challenges—even if the outcome isn’t always predictable.
Taking risks isn’t just about the end result; it’s about the courage to move forward and the lessons learned along the way. And in my experience, those lessons often pave the way for greater opportunities down the road.
