Today we’d like to introduce you to Keiaundra Donaby

Hi Keiaundra, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m from the Delta region of Arkansas/Mississippi. My sister that tragically lost her life always forced me to watch all cooking shows that she never watched. I lost her the age of 14 and every since I continued to watch cooking shows and being a chef was destined. I felt like she put that in me and it’s been my way of staying connected to her. Grieving her lost hasn’t been easy so cooking became my passion. So I gave this natural love for cooking a chance ….. I wanted to attend Le Cordon Bleu but I got pregnant with my twins Cashton & Christon. With a change of course I started small by cooking from home. My Family and I eventually relocated to Georgia. I became a preferred vendor for Ambience Event Space by my now friends Elaine and her late Husband Marcus and that venture is what opened the many doors to me catering to the metro Atlanta area.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles have been the lack of understanding of the role of a personal Chef with the value of my services, food cost, equipment rental and etc. . Also not being able to find servers for large events.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Currently I am a RDA( Registered Dental Assistant) and I love being able to assist Dentist. Being able to educate patients on oral health and assuring them that anxiety is normal and they are making the 1st step by walking through the dental doors to reclaim their smile and confidence back.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Keep God first and Believe in yourself, trust in your talent. Know your worth and when you are in your own lane your own doors will open you don’t have to go through anybody else.
