Rising Stars: Meet Victoria Smith of Atlanta Ga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Smith

Hi Victoria, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
“There is nothing more rewarding than allowing your story to open doors some may say you’re not qualified for.”- Victoria Smith

I began my passion for writing around 10 years old but I can honestly say this past year I have chose to nurture and focus on my writing passion and publish my first book.

Released From Prison Then Re-arrested By The World.

In “Released From Prison & Re-arrested by the World,” It’s a raw unfiltered, and compelling story after being incarcerated.

I was homeless, living out of my car and wrote my story in real time. I wasn’t in my best mental space but I allowed my words to save me in my darkest place.

My Story touches on survival, identity, and the unbreakable spirit of those who refuse to give up while also refusing to be defined by their circumstances.

I wanted to make sure with this book that I’m able to prove that hope can flourish while allowing your Faith to strengthen even in the darkest corners of life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I revealed how appearances can be deceiving, challenging the stigma surrounding homelessness and mental health. As I confronted my own battles with anxiety, ptsd and ADHD, Victoria’s story becomes a powerful testament to resilience, reminding us that every person carries a unique story worth hearing.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an Author who specializes with inspiring others to begin again. Letting people know that no matter how many times you fail or fall as long as you have breath it’s never too late to stand.

I’m most proud of my transparency and my faith.

What sets me apart from others I believe is my many stories of survival, my resilience and my smile that shines brighter everyday.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
I wish I knew that spending majority of my time trying to making sure everything is right with life or the perfect time when the world is right only delays your success.

My advice will be to “stop procrastinating while using pain and unforgiveness as excuse to not make things happen for yourself.”

I would say “pursue what your heart loves and strengthen your faith. know that whatever you set out to do it will pay off.

Know God will open up any door for you in his perfect timing. So never waste time talking about it, & dreaming it. Make it happen now!
