Rising Stars: Meet Toni Bacon of Atlanta, Georgia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Toni Bacon

Hi Toni, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I was 13 my mom suggested that I take an interest in modeling due to my creativity in the arts. I loved painting, drawing, and taking photos but modeling never really crossed my mind until she brought it up. So I did just that! I started taking more photos and play with different equipment to figure out my sense of style and creativity from behind and in front of the camera. With the support of my friends and family, I’ve been accomplishing goals that my 13 year old self would never think she’d achieve.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey was not easy. I struggled with low self esteem and the fear of not being able to look up to par because I was always worried about the opinions of other people. Ive been criticized and picked at before in the past and it caused me to not love myself for a while. As I became more self aware and grew up with a support group and amazing friends, I started to love myself even more and express who I am. There were a few pauses when I didn’t feel like I was enough as well but, it never stopped me to reaching my goal.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a freelance photographer, content creator, and an aspiring model. I am well know for my hair content and my style of photography. I’m most proud of the progress that I’ve been making and the audience I’ve gained. The 13 year old me would never thought I could go so far. I believe what sets me apart from other people is that I’m not a follower. I stand back from the crowd and take in the environment around me and the choose how to adapt to it or if I want to be apart of it or not. I choose to be myself rather than become a copy and paste version of another. My friends always told me that my sense of humor, intelligence, and my goal driven behavior are traits that makes me unique compared to what they see in others as well.

What’s next?
My plans for the future is to finish college, become a signed model, hopefully become the next face on a magazine or a brand, have my own business, and continue my content creating. I’m looking forward to reaching a bigger audience on and off social media and showcase my creativity with others and inspire them to have dreams and aspirations as well.
