Today we’d like to introduce you to Rashun Faust
Hi Rashun, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in what many would call the ghetto, living life like any other young man in my community. But even as a child, I always knew there was more to life than the circumstances I came from. Despite the challenges, I always felt different, and I knew that what I had at the time wasn’t all there was to life.
As high school graduation approached, I found myself torn between becoming an elementary school teacher and pursuing a more financially promising career. Growing up, I faced more than my fair share of hardships—molestation, trauma, divorce, and constant fear from family separations. These experiences weighed heavily on me, but they also shaped my resolve to seek something greater.
Eventually, I decided to take the college route and pursue a degree in business. Even back then, I had an entrepreneurial spirit. I was the kid selling candy and contact lenses at school, selling out every week without fail. Funny, right? But it was during a pivotal moment at 19 when I was forced to file for bankruptcy that everything clicked for me. I realized I couldn’t continue seeing my family rely on GoFundMe accounts just to cover funeral costs. The burden of finances had become too overwhelming.
That’s when I knew my true calling. I began my journey as a financial navigator, helping both individuals and major companies manage their financial challenges, especially during life’s shifts, pivots, and transitions. There’s no greater fulfillment for me than seeing people gain control of their financial lives, especially in today’s unpredictable economy.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. In fact, the journey has been incredibly challenging at times. The biggest battle I’ve faced along the way has been fear. Fear has manifested in so many ways throughout my life—fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of not being good enough. It’s a force that’s held me back at various points, but also something that’s pushed me to keep moving forward.
This is actually the reason I wrote my new book, What The Fear is Going On?. Fear has been a constant companion in my life, but over time, I’ve learned to face it head-on. Without a clear template or blueprint to follow, I had to build everything from the ground up. And while that came with its own set of immense challenges, it also gave me the courage to push through.
By the grace of God, I’ve been able to overcome many of those fears and keep building, even when it felt like the odds were stacked against me. It’s been a constant balancing act of fear and courage, but that’s what’s made this journey so powerful for me.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The most important quality for my success has been courage. It takes a lot of courage to keep moving forward when the road is unclear, especially when you’re building something from scratch without a template or guide. Whether it’s facing my own fears, taking risks in business, or stepping into situations that felt uncomfortable, courage has been the driving force behind everything I’ve accomplished.
I’ve learned that true growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone and embrace the unknown. Courage has allowed me to turn challenges into opportunities, push through moments of doubt, and continuously evolve as both an individual and a business owner. It’s not about being fearless—it’s about being willing to move forward despite the fear, and that mindset has played a critical role in my success.
