Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendia Missick
Hi Kendia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Kendia Missick, the owner of AttractiveFaces, and I am a Makeup Artist in Doraville,GA. I’ve always had a passion for makeup but never had courage. Courage was finally found in April of 2021 where I started my makeup business originally named the.perfectfacee. The thought of Failure took over my mind and the.perfectfacee ended shortly after it opened but my passion never did. Attractivefaces was founded in February of 2024. I invested everything I had from money to build my kit to the time and effort it took to create my own logo and flyers and consistently advertise my business. My business has prospered in just a year beyond my dreams and Attractivefaces is here to stay! I couldn’t have gotten here without faith,the push from my friends and family, and keeping God as the center of my business. I was home-based when I first started and now I have the ability to be able to work in a Shop. If you are or want to be a business owner and don’t know where to start, start by having Faith!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy road at all. There were times in the beginning where nobody would want to be a makeup model for me to be able to get content because I wasn’t trusted. There were times were I felt used and abused by clients for being lenient and bending rules for them so I could up my clientele. It was a struggle not seeing any money from constantly running deals to get steady clientele. It was hard seeing others pick other Makeup Artists over me, it had me feeling like I wasn’t good enough to keep going. But after a while, those bumps in the road started to smooth out.

I am a Makeup Artist and I specialize in Natural/ Soft Glams. I am known for my amazing customer service, my long lasting beats and non-heavy makeup application. What sets me apart from others would be my style of makeup.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The most important quality that imperative to success would be being yourself. Your business could do numbers based off of how you come off to people. People love authenticity especially coming from a business owner. It shows how much real care, love and energy you put into your business and it rubs off in the service that you provide.
