Hi Krystle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My love for fragrance has always been a deep part of who I am. I’ve always been captivated by how scents can evoke memories, set moods, and transform a space. This passion inspired me to start my own candle business, where I could blend my creativity and love for fragrance into something that others could enjoy. I wanted to create candles that not only smell amazing but also provide a sense of warmth and comfort. Each candle is a reflection of my desire to share the calming and uplifting power of scent with the world.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge I faced was discovering the right formula for my candles—one that works for me and produces the best possible handmade candles. When I first started, I thought it would be as simple as adding a wick and fragrance to some wax, and voilà, a candle! However, I was quickly humbled by how much more goes into creating the perfect candle.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a federal employee dedicated to supporting veterans with mental health challenges. This role is incredibly meaningful to me because I have the opportunity to help veterans who are navigating difficult mental health struggles. It’s especially personal, as I have loved ones who also face these challenges. Being able to give back in the mental health field truly brings me peace and fulfillment
