Meet Julian Clove of Atlanta, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julian Clove

Hi Julian, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My business technically started when I was a young kid, and my brother was an art prodigy in my eyes. He could draw anything! We were both big on cartoons, drawing /‘d nostalgia. I started drawing then and never stopped, eventually creating an Instagram page and posting me art, creating a show on Snapchat my friends would watch and overall being more active in the art community.

I then called it “CloveVision” as it represents not only my ideas and expression, but it pays homage to my family, as well as the fact that it’s like Television. I’ve grown so much on that same Instagram page I’ve had since high school where I was posting random pieces of art. I’ve built a supportive community organically and my goal is to make this a Network on its own one day!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My first struggles were my focus. I have ADD which makes it harder for me to pay attention paired with a SUPER over active imagination. So I had bad grades, all I wanted to do was draw.

Second was family and school counselors not supporting me and insisting test see wasn’t a career. They eventually came around.

Now, as an adult, I still just want to draw and animate. I’ve worked jobs on the side while building CloveVision. I’m now fully freelance. Been broke, been decent, haven’t seen the full potential of what this could look like. So much of it it trial and error.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a lifelong cartoon lover and 90s animation fan, I specialize in 2D freehand animation. I’m also a comic artist—I had a whole comic series in high school, and now I do it full-time! I create content on social media and bring people’s visions to life through commissions. Some of my proudest moments were going viral with my own original concepts—I never realized how much people enjoyed my animations. I’ve also had the opportunity to work on larger projects with major brands like McDonald’s, which was a pretty cool experience!

What’s next?
I have big plans for the future of my business, and I’m going after everything I want full throttle! I’m developing a comic series and several cartoon shows, including some for social media. In the long run, I aim to win an Emmy and grow CloveVision into a network as big as Disney—if not bigger.
