Hi truE, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
For me personally singing came second nature. Honestly if it wasn’t the first thing i learned it was definitely the second. I can remember as a kid standing in my nana’s living room singing Luther Vandross “A House Is Not A Home” while friends and family were putting dollars in a hat. Hijacking the mic at Chuckee Cheese to sing happy birthday to my twin sister and i lol. I always had a goal and i was never afraid to showcase my talent to anyone. I just knew what i wanted and i what i would become.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Smooth roads don’t happen for anyone especially when you want to be great at what you do a lot of effort goes into everything i do because I’m so meticulous and professional about it all. The singing part immensely i don’t lip synch and i don’t perform with extra backing and prerecords i really work on my gift diligently and have for many years. The struggle for me is producing the content in a timely microwaveable fashion that is the music industry today that’s the hardest part for me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a singer/ songwriter, vocal producer.
I specialize in vocals good ole flat foot singing lol.
I’m most proud of being the writer and telling my own stories and perspectives and as much as i don’t like telling my business i share enough to be transparent and be able to say i go through those same things you are not alone.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
First i wanna say God deserves so much credit he just put something in me that was a seed and that he knew needed to be planted. There is so many people i can credit for pushing me and encouraging me to not give up, family being my number one support and just people who really know me and know that I’m really good and i have so much potential.
