Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I come from a big family that loves to cook. As a child I would always watch my mom, aunt and grandma in the kitchen. I would always have questions on what they are making and why they do what that do. Until one day my aunt and grandmother told me, since I have so many questions how about you come in here and we can teach a thing or two lol. One of the best skill I learn as a child was that your hands are the best tools you will ever have in the kitchen. From then my knowledge for cooking has grown. I would always watch the food network and say “one day I will be on one of those shows.” In 2014, I attended Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC. I major in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management and a Minor in Sommelier. Being able to attend this amazing culinary school, I had the ability to gain some much knowledge and self publish my first cookbook called “Damn Good Drunken Delectables. Graduation in 2018, start my own business called Chef Taylor the Caterer then I decided to rebrand my business to Chef Tays Creations. I am a personal traveling chef that specialize in handmade delicious desserts that will make you reminisce of your childhood. The passion for making desserts start with me making my famous White Hennessy Peach Cobbler Cheesecake.

Not only my hands are good in the kitchen for pastries I also offer a wide range private dining experience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, there has been some challenges in my culinary experiences. Dealing with adapting to seasonal ingredients to fluctuations grocery prices and more. Through all my ups and downs I still strive to push creative boundaries.
