Hi Laz, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
M there was no authentic Cuban food in Atlanta . The kind that I was used to eating at grandmas table so I decided to open my own Cuban restaurant without any previous restaurant experience and here I am 13 years later
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The beginning was very difficult trying to figure out amounts of food to make and trying to keep the highest quality of food. It was also hard to manage an ever changing staff. After 5 years of being open is when it started to get easier
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love working in the kitchen and experimenting with flavors and different ingredients. I get very excited to discover new flavors and pairing them with unconventional ingredients
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
People think is easy owning a restaurant and think they’ll strike it rich, that is not the case. You have to be passionate and patient and with Very Hard work and perseverance, it will work out
