Hi Thomas N., it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It was an uphill battle to get to where I am today. From personal struggles to balancing a family and being a father at a young age, it took a lot of personal growth. Always with an entrepreneurial spirit I would dive into several projects at once and if I didn’t know much about the topic, I would go long hours and many nights learning and researching that topic until I was well versed.
From being in the entertainment industry (under the name Guilty Nicky); both music and radio (Credits: “First Latin Hip Hop Group in Atlanta” , reaching #1 on ReverbNation Latin charts in Atlanta, Roc a Fella Tour w/Hector El Father, Dungeon Family (Familia), Los Callejeros, SUMO Inc, and co-host of Los Gemelos on Deb Antney’s Be100 Radio station)

To owning businesses, I can say it has been quite the journey. I always gave every aspect of every business my all. I would submerse myself in them until I saw results. The same with taxes and credit services when I began almost 10 years ago. It started in 2015 as a joint venture named “Tax Max” in Plaza Fiesta located in the heart of Doraville, GA. We we’re extremely well received within the local community and it helped launch something that would turn into a multifaceted business that services hundreds of clients across the USA today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth at all however I always work best under pressure. My most difficult moment came in 2006 when my father unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind American Auto Inc, a beloved local business in Norcross, GA that would have needed to close it’s doors without it’s trusted leader. I personally couldn’t stand to see my fathers legacy just close its doors. Not after everything he’d worked for. So after the funeral, I showed up to “work” the next day, walked into my fathers office and I sat down in his big chair and called a staff meeting. I told everyone we would remain open under my watch and we would make my father proud. That was my start into the world of business. The business remained open for years and later branching into a second location located in Ormond Beach, FL.
I was only 21 years old.

Any big plans?
We’re currently invested with international partners to bring a new Financial Literacy program for young adults to the market. A course that encompasses what is not taught in schools. Topics such as: credit, using an atm, opening a bank account, taxes, insurance, investing, real estate, crypto, retirement and so much more. We currently have the interests of several states looking to potentially pilot the program.
We are going to be offering the program completely FREE of charge to our clients. They will have access to a certification course that will prepare them for mastering ‘adulting”. By doing so, National Tax prep is investing in the future by better preparing our future leaders.
National Tax Prep will aim to donate the originally $99 program to an audience of 45 million students/young adults enrolled in schools across the US for FREE. That’s a potential donation of $4.5 billion.
