Today we’d like to introduce you to Aniyah Allen
Hi Aniyah , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I discovered my love for music at a young age.. growing up in the church is how I developed my passion for singing. After moving from Michigan to Georgia, I had to start over and rebuild my musical journey. Now, I am a student at Georgia State University, and a member of the Change Church worship team and I already released two singles and done one sold out show.. and plan to have more music on the way in 2025.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Moving from Michigan to Georgia and starting over came with its own set of challenges. I had to rebuild my network, find new opportunities, and establish myself in a new environment. Adjusting to a different music scene while balancing school and my passion for singing wasn’t always easy. There were moments of uncertainty, where finding the right community and opportunities took time. However, through persistence, faith, and dedication, I found my place.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m known for my tone and my ability to connect deeply with my audience through my music, delivering not just vocals but emotion and storytelling that resonate. My faith and perseverance have shaped my journey, helping me overcome challenges and rebuild my musical career. One of the things I’m most proud of is releasing two singles and just last year doing a sold out show at vinyl (centerstage) which reflect my dedication and growth as an artist. What sets me apart is my unique blend of Pop, modern artistry, and R&B and the ability to infuse every performance with genuine emotion and purpose. With more music on the way, I’m excited to continue sharing my voice and story with the world.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always passionate and creative, with a deep love for music. Being raised in the church, I was surrounded by music from an early age, and it quickly became a huge part of who I am. Singing was more than just something I did it was a way for me to express myself, connect with others, and deepen my faith.
Personality-wise, I was a mix of outgoing and introverted. I loved performing and connecting with people through music, but I also had moments where I was more reflective, using music as a way to process my thoughts and emotions.
Beyond music, I had other interests, but nothing ever compared to the passion I felt when singing. Even when I faced challenges, I stayed determined and kept pushing forward. Every experience both the highs and the struggles helped shape me into the artist and person I am today.
