Today we’d like to introduce you to Shayla Perry
Hi Shayla, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Almost 7 years ago, I took a leap into the travel industry just for the perks and discounts. But what started as a side hustle quickly turned into something much bigger.
As a wife, mom of 5, and healthcare worker, I know what it means to hustle. Before marriage, I was a single mom of 2, so being a go-getter was always in me. But when I truly studied this business, I realized how powerful it was not just for me, but for others, too.
I saw firsthand how this extra income could bless households, pay off debt, and even create the opportunity to retire from a 9-5. I was able to pay the closing fees on our new home, put money aside for my soon to be high school graduate. When I saw the income from this opportunity, I wanted to help others do the same.
Of course, life kept happening. Losing my mom 5 months ago could have made me quit. But instead, I kept going for my family, my team, and the business I’ve built. Because at the end of the day, my vision is bigger than my circumstances.
Yes, you’ll have good days and bad days, but don’t let the bad outweigh the good. Stay around like-minded people who uplift you, keep pushing, and never stop believing in what’s possible!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Losing my mom 5 months ago was definitely a struggle and could have made me quit. But instead, I kept going for my family, my team, finished college and the business I’ve built. Because at the end of the day, my vision is bigger than my circumstances.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. I’m most proud of helping others who don’t understand things when it comes to their insurance and giving them a better understanding about it. What sets me apart is my work ethic and focus. When I’m on the job, I show up, do my work, and give it my all. As my mom always said, “Leave your personal stuff at the door.” That’s exactly what I do. I stay focused on who I’m helping that day because that’s what truly matters.
No distractions, no excuses just dedication to making a difference. That same mindset carries over into everything I do!
