Daily Inspiration: Meet Tiffany Grills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Grills

Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am a self taught artist of 8 years. I’ve always been intrigued by painting since high school but never had any formal training. Art seemed to follow me everywhere I went and I took it as a sign to learn so started practicing daily, I eventually started doing art full time painting portrait commissions for people I knew. I continued working on my skills and eventually started creating my own original artwork.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a tough journey not having any formal art education, I’ve basically learned by trial and error. Learning through my own experiences have been challenging however I’ve also learned a lot about myself and enhancing my skills. Using social media as a platform for getting my art noticed has been extremely difficult with the algorithm. Often times it can be discouraging when you work really hard and your work goes unseen or you can’t find your audience. I’ve had to learn to hang in there and try to stay consistent no matter how hard. Being an artist and an entrepreneur in general is difficult, you have to discipline yourself to follow through with your art endeavors. At times we artist aren’t just creating art, we’re doing marketing, creating content, being social with our audience, etc. It can become pretty consuming when most of us just want to create art. However does get a little easier in time as you become use to it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Fine Artist I specialize in portrait painting. I combine elements of nature and the female form to convey a deep appreciation for the natural world and the interconnections of all living beings. I am proud to be a self taught artist, I feel like I’ve come such a long way. My determination and strong work ethic are a huge part of my success as an artist.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
