Today we’d like to introduce you to Eileen Nebhut
Hi Eileen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always known what it feels like to stand out. Growing up taller than my peers, I was hyper-aware of how I was perceived, often struggling to find clothes that fit—not just my frame, but my identity. As I moved through life, from the corporate boardroom to cities like London, New York, and South Africa, I realized something profound: image isn’t just about what we wear. It’s a non-verbal form of branding, a powerful tool that shapes how we’re seen and, more importantly, how we see ourselves.
In my years working in the corporate world, I saw brilliant, accomplished professionals undervaluing their presence—minimizing themselves, feeling disconnected from their appearance, or dressing in ways that didn’t align with their ambition and influence. I became the go-to person for friends and colleagues seeking guidance, not just on style but on how to present themselves with clarity and confidence.
That’s when I knew that there was a business here.
I founded Venus Rising to help high-achieving executives claim their space with authenticity and impact. I believe personal branding isn’t about fitting in—it’s about standing out in a way that feels true to who you are.
I have an MBA and a coaching certification. I blend strategy, psychology, and style to help my clients develop a personal brand that aligns with their values, career goals, and leadership presence. I provide a structured yet deeply personal approach to image consulting—one that removes the stress of “what to wear” and replaces it with clarity, power, and ease.
At Venus Rising, I help people move from feeling uncertain about their appearance to showing up as the most confident, compelling version of themselves. When they walk into a room, there’s no question: they belong there.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Two years into Venus Rising, I can confidently say that no business plan survives the reality of entrepreneurship unchanged. When I started, I thought I had a clear vision of my ideal client, the problems I wanted to solve, and how revenue would flow. But the past two years have taught me that clarity comes through experience, adaptation, and resilience. As a solopreneur for the first 18 months, I wore every hat—consultant, strategist, marketer, administrator—often working endless hours to ensure every client received the high-touch, tailored service I envisioned. The challenge wasn’t just in execution but in learning how to invest strategically—when to scale, what systems to implement, and how to build sustainable growth without losing the essence of my work.
Burnout is real, and in a business built on helping others show up powerfully, I had to ensure I wasn’t neglecting my own energy and vision. The temptation to be all things to all people was ever-present, but I quickly realized that focus is power. It takes discipline to stay in your lane, to refine services instead of expanding too broadly, and to recognize that success isn’t about doing more—it’s about doing the right things, well. There have been obstacles: the challenge of educating clients on the deeper value of personal branding beyond just ‘style’, navigating revenue fluctuations, and understanding that scaling isn’t just about growth—it’s about building a business that supports both my clients and myself in a sustainable way. These lessons weren’t in any business plan, but they’ve been the foundation for the next chapter of Venus Rising—one where both my clients and my business are set up for long-term success.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Venus Rising, we specialize in image consulting for executive teams, one-on-one image coaching, and speaking engagements that transform how leaders show up in high-stakes environments.
We work with corporate executives, leadership teams, and high-achieving professionals to refine their personal brand, aligning their presence with their influence. When speaking to business schools like Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business, or to Leadership Perimeter or Women Corporate Directors International, I always emphasize the ROI of personal branding—how strategic image decisions can drive career impact, leadership effectiveness, and business success. Our work isn’t about ‘clothes’—it’s about deliberate, results-driven visibility. Through our human-powered, tech-forward approach, we use in-person services along with the Venus Rising app to manage wardrobe strategies, outfit planning, and our newly launched shop-by-your-body-type store—bridging expert guidance with seamless digital tools.
Part of what sets Venus Rising apart is my global perspective, business acumen, and ability to connect personal brand with professional success. With an MBA and a career spanning Africa, New York, and London, I bring an analytical and strategic approach to image consulting—helping executives make branding decisions that support their long-term goals. I understand the psychology of presence, the power of perception, and the nuances of commanding a room—perhaps in part because I’ve been doing it my whole life (I’m tall @ 6’2″!). At Venus Rising, we foster an inclusive, judgment-free environment where leaders from all backgrounds, body types, and ethnicities can identify pain points, define success metrics, and trust us with their most personal asset—their image. I take immense pride in helping clients move beyond uncertainty, embracing a personal brand that isn’t just seen—it’s felt.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that most people who know me or my company might not know is that I didn’t initially set out to be an image consultant. My background is deeply rooted in business strategy, leadership development, and global partnerships. Some people assume that I came up through the fashion or styling world, but my expertise is actually in how image impacts influence, leadership, and business outcomes—which is why our approach is so much more than “what to wear.”
Another surprising fact about me? I’m deeply analytical. With an MBA and a structured, data-driven mindset, I approach personal branding like a business strategy—evaluating ROI, perception shifts, and leadership presence with the same rigor that executives apply to their own corporate strategies. This combination of high-level business acumen and intuitive personal branding insight is rare in the industry and is a large part of what makes Venus Rising unique.
