Conversations with Brendon Garrett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brendon Garrett.

Hi Brendon, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ll keep it short. If you have a dream out it into action and make it reality. What do you have to loose? We all are going to the same place one day so better to be a name and fulfill a destiny then to be a number and with eternal regret. I took that chance an don’t regret a thing.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. There were plenty of struggles but without those hardships you wouldn’t be as strong as you are today, still thriving. Being a young black male growing up in a broken home and poverty was hardship its self. Being youngest child no you always have the brightest ideas but none takes them into consideration. Your always over looked. Everyday growing up was a test, a consistent test of my mental and physical strengths. Even being as short as I was growing up my uniqueness and creativity as a person Intimidated many unhappy souls which created unnecessary competition. But per usual as young man growing up I had no choice but to face the negativity head on. Here I am today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a professional dancer and a digital artist. I love to create and been creating art since I was in diapers. I’m most known for being a famous dancer out of the small town of Buffalo NY. I got by “ B3ATZ “ because not only do I have a passion for most genres of music but I was known for making beats with pens and pencils on the school desk through out grammar school to high highschool. I was just always on the creative side.

What are your plans for the future?
My biggest goal in the future is to be in the hall of fame of dancers and inspire younger youth that they can do anything they can put their mind to. And of course to become very wealthy of my craft alone. Another big goal was cinema and getting back into my animator era to become a successful animator. I use to animate digital art when I was 11 years old. But of course getting access to the internet at 6 and going from drawing on paper , making comic books in grade school, and crafting paper weapons that worked, I was bound to create something big. Animation like CGI and 16 bit 1980-1990 style sprite animations is definitely something I want yo get back into.
