The inspiration behind shopderm stemmed from the stories of countless patients sharing their skincare struggles. We heard your frustration when navigating the labyrinth of skincare options, and we knew there had to be a better way. We embarked on this endeavor to provide an antidote to the overwhelming choices. Your time is precious, and your hard-earned money should be invested in products that truly work. Our focus is on delivering carefully chosen, science-backed products that yield visible results, without the hassle.
We launched our community – The Consult Club – your trusted space for real conversations about beauty, health, and personal growth. Here, we cut through the noise, bringing you expert insights and rigorously vetted products so you can feel confident in your choices and truly connected to yourself and others. The Consult Club includes educational events, substack posts, a podcast and more.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business while still seeing patients full time, raising three boys (and two puppies) innately comes with some challenges. I have been lucky to have a wonderful support system to bounce ideas of off, get honest feedback and help me to adjust when needed. I am learning something new everyday and I feel that one of the most important things I can do is ask everyone around me as many questions as I can. I have made some wonderful connections and each person teaches me a new lesson. Some lessons are small, such as how to avoid coupon codes being stolen online, and some really big and foundational, like reiterating your brand over and over until it feels right. I work tirelessly to hit the cross section of empowering and educating others, honing in on my unique skill set and doing what brings me joy and inspiration.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I am always networking. If you are in my orbit, you know that I love having real, authentic and meaningful conversations with everyone around me. I want to know what people are doing – what the challenges and learnings are. I have sought out specific women’s networking groups, but none of them were a right fit until I joined Diana. Diana (www.joindiana.com) is for women with entrepreneurial spirits seeking connection, community, and a space for discussion and exploration alongside others they can learn with and from as they build their ideal work-life balance. The women in this group have absolutely become my main mentors and network.
