Today we’d like to introduce you to Ifie Natasha Brandon.
Hi Ifie Natasha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey as a writer began in the most unexpected way. I was a college student, tucked away in the library studying for finals, when rhyming lines suddenly started forming in my head. I grabbed my Sidekick, typed them out, and haven’t stopped writing since.
By 2011, I was sharing my thoughts and poems on Tumblr, later transitioning to WordPress while also performing spoken word poetry on local stages. In 2014, my passion for storytelling expanded into the realm of soul care. It started with a simple dinner party—just drinks, laughter, and deep conversation—which blossomed into something far greater. That night marked the beginning of a creative movement. Since then, I’ve collaborated with other creatives to curate intimate pop-up events designed to nurture connection, creativity, and possibility.
In 2015, while serving as the director of a childcare center, I felt a clear calling: I wanted to write full time. Since making that leap, I’ve published three books and had the honor of seeing my work featured on platforms like ABC News and several Medium publications.
When I’m not writing – I’m also a creative producer, yogi, and serial series watcher.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been a meaningful one. Like many writers and creatives, my path has been full of pivots, doubts, and moments of reinvention. There were seasons where I was juggling full-time work, motherhood, and my creative dreams—trying to make space for writing in between nap times, commutes, or late nights. Choosing to write wasn’t just a career decision; it was the answer to a calling. And even after that leap, there were the quiet struggles—figuring out how to make a living doing what I love, facing rejection, fighting imposter syndrome, and staying true to my voice in a world that often asks us to shrink or conform.
But every detour has taught me something. Whether I was running a childcare center, planning a soul-care dinner, or scribbling poems between meetings, I was always collecting stories, learning how to connect with people, and growing as both a writer and a human. The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been rich—and it’s shaped the heart behind everything I create today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At my core, I’m a storyteller. I use words—on stage, on the page, and in curated spaces—to help people feel seen, held, and inspired. I’m a poet, author, creative director, and content strategist who specializes in shaping stories that heal, connect, and ignite purpose. Whether I’m writing books, curating wellness-centered pop-up events, or helping entrepreneurs find their authentic voice, my work lives at the intersection of business, creativity, and soul.
I’m most known for my ability to bring language to emotions people haven’t yet found the words for. I have a deep love for the written word, but even more than that, I love helping people come home to themselves through story. I’ve published three books, performed spoken word poetry, and had my work featured on platforms like ABC News and Medium, but what I’m most proud of is the way I’ve stayed true to my voice—and the ways that voice has empowered others to do the same.
What sets me apart is the way I blend art, healing, and strategy. I’m not just a writer—I’m a curator of experiences. Through my creative consultancy, I design spaces (both digital and in-person) that invite people to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with themselves, their purpose, and their people. My work is rooted in authenticity, infused with creativity, and always guided by soul.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is going on family vacations every year. Whether it was Disney World, a road trip, or a week at the beach, my mom always made sure we had fun and created lasting memories. Sometimes we’d bring friends along, which made the adventures even better. There was always laughter, new experiences, and that feeling of being completely free. Those trips taught me the value of joy, rest, and spending time with those you love—things I still hold close in both my life and my work today.
