Exploring Life & Business with Bunny H of Hazy Bunny

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bunny H.

Hi Bunny, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Yes! My business, Hazy Bunny was born during the height of COVID while I was living in Los Angeles. At the time, I was working as a phlebotomist. I was working directly with patients, and I saw firsthand how burned out my colleagues and I were. We were constantly pouring into everyone else’s cups but forgetting to fill our own. It was a humbling experience I’ll never forget, but honestly? It took a serious toll on my mental health because I wasn’t prioritizing self-care—and I saw so many others in the same boat.

A lot of people think self-care means spa days, massages, facials, or expensive mani-pedis. And while that’s all great, it can get really pricey. If you’re going every two weeks or even once a month, that’s a serious budget commitment.

That’s where Hazy Bunny comes in. I wanted to create a brand that reminds people that self-care isn’t selfish—it’s essential. You can’t pour from an empty cup, right? So I set out to make products that help people bring the luxury spa experience home. My bath and body care products aren’t just about smelling good (though they definitely do); they’re packed with ingredients that deeply nourish and moisturize, giving dry, dehydrated skin the love it deserves. Because taking care of yourself shouldn’t feel like a luxury—it should feel like second nature.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
A smooth road? Please, definitely not. But I wouldn’t ask for my journey in any other way- I feel like every experience and struggle I had was something that needed to happen in order for me to learn and get to where I’m at.

For instance, I started Hazy Bunny back in LA and now I’m here in ATL. I moved across the country for better opportunities and more space. While I don’t regret it, there are definitely days where I miss home. I used to vend at a lot of markets back in LA and made lots of great connections there so starting over was pretty tough. I love a good fresh start and I’m open to change but establishing a business where you don’t really know anyone is intimidating. A very humbling experience.

As you know, we’re big fans of Hazy Bunny. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Hazy Bunny is all about redefining luxurious self-care. I create high quality bath and body products that are designed to deeply nourish and hydrate the skin. Our focus to combat stubborn dry and dehydrated skin. All of my products are handcrafted with skin-loving ingredients that have long-lasting benefits.

My goal is to create products that also bring an experience to my shoppers, which is why I say it soothes mind, body and soul. My nourishing products are blended with fragrances and scents that can transport you, evoking a sense of warmth, comfort and escape to your happy place. The signature collection is inspired by my Southeast Asian roots plus, of course, my love for self care. These products are designed to help you incorporate that spa day feeling into your daily, consistent routine. Self care is not a treat, it is a necessity and you do not have to break the bank to indulge in it.

I want people to know that Hazy Bunny is here to help you romanticize and incorporate your self care routine, to help you remember to slow down, and mostly to give your skin the care it truly deserves.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Do your research! Be okay with asking for help sometimes; there’s no need to be prideful, we all started off somewhere. Asking for help is never a weakness. Also remember to be gentle with yourself; know that sometimes you may mess up and that is okay. It’s a lesson and experience, not a failure! Just dust yourself off and try again.
