### My Journey into Film Production: A New Chapter in Atlanta

In 2008, I took a leap of faith and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, to embark on a new career path. My journey began at the Art Institute of Atlanta, where I enrolled in a film production program. Interestingly, film production wasn’t my initial goal; it kind of fell into my lap. The classes I originally wanted to take were unavailable, and the recruiter suggested I try the film production class instead. Little did I know, this would be the start of an incredible journey.

Starting over in a new city was no easy feat, especially after having established myself in my previous hometown. However, I was eager to learn a new trade and get back on my feet. After a year of immersing myself in the world of film, I discovered a genuine passion for directing. Balancing my aspirations with my responsibilities as a husband and father, I realized it was time to figure out how to generate income from my newfound passion.

Having previously run my own business, I already had a business mentality. I decided to invest in some camera equipment and began experimenting with different filming techniques. I started shooting random events and uploading my work to Facebook. To my surprise, people began to notice my efforts and started reaching out, asking if I could film for them.

Through networking and connecting with various individuals, I began filming for entertainers and rappers in the city. This was a pivotal moment in my career. I eventually linked up with a friend from my hometown who owned a club in Atlanta. This connection proved invaluable, as he would book different entertainers on weekends, and I had the opportunity to film their performances. This exposure helped me establish my name in the entertainment industry.

As I continued to hone my craft, I founded my company, KeneWebb Productions. My camera opened doors to numerous opportunities, allowing me to work on a variety of projects, from weddings to music videos, television and beyond. Sixteen years later, I still carry that same passion for film production, and I am grateful for the journey that has brought me to where I am today.

Reflecting on my path, I realize that sometimes the best opportunities come from unexpected places. Embracing change and being open to new experiences has shaped my career in ways I could never have imagined. I look forward to continuing this journey and exploring the endless possibilities that lie ahead in the world of film.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t say the road was all smooth, you know? When you own your own business, you’re always figuring out how the next check is going to come. Atlanta is a very competitive city, and I quickly learned that I had to get out there and grind.

Every day brought its own set of challenges, and I had to stay proactive to keep the momentum going. Networking became crucial; I made it a point to connect with other professionals, attend events, and showcase my work. It was all about getting my name out there and building relationships that could lead to new opportunities.

The hustle taught me resilience and adaptability. I had to think creatively and be resourceful, whether it was finding new clients or learning new skills to enhance my craft. Each experience, whether a success or a setback, contributed to my growth as a filmmaker and business owner.

Despite the obstacles, the hard work paid off. The connections I made and the reputation I built allowed me to carve out my niche in this competitive environment. It’s a journey filled with ups and downs, but that’s what makes it all worthwhile. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for what lies ahead.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My Passion for Videography: A Journey of Resilience and Dedication

As a videographer, I have a deep love for everything related to production and directing. My specialty lies in filming anything that requires a keen eye and a creative approach, whether it’s a music video, a corporate event, or a personal project. What I take the most pride in is the longevity of my business. There have been countless moments when I felt like giving up, but my passion and determination kept me going.

What truly sets me apart from others in this competitive field is the genuine passion I bring to every project. I believe that each client deserves not just a service, but a heartfelt commitment to their vision. When I work with someone, I invest myself fully in their project, ensuring that the final product reflects their unique story and message.

This dedication to my craft has allowed me to build lasting relationships with my clients, who appreciate the authenticity and enthusiasm I bring to the table. I strive to create work that resonates, and I take pride in knowing that my passion translates into the quality of my productions.

In a world where many may see videography as just a job, I view it as an art form and a way to connect with others. I’m excited to continue this journey, capturing moments and telling stories that matter, one frame at a time.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Absolutely! I’ve taken several risks along the way, whether it’s spending money on high-quality equipment or reinvesting back into my business. I firmly believe that the only way to build a successful brand is to continually invest in yourself and your craft.

Investing in better equipment not only enhances the quality of my work but also allows me to explore new creative possibilities. Each purchase is a step toward improving my skills and expanding my capabilities as a videographer. Additionally, attending workshops, networking events, and industry conferences has been invaluable for my growth. These experiences not only sharpen my technical skills but also help me stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in the industry.

Ultimately, the risks I’ve taken have paid off. They’ve helped me build a brand that reflects my passion and dedication to videography. By continually investing in myself, I ensure that I can provide my clients with the best possible service and maintain a competitive edge in this ever-evolving field. It’s all about growth, learning, and pushing the boundaries of what I can achieve.
