Today we’d like to introduce you to Joel Seats.
Hi Joel , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my independent Record Label in October of 2024. The name of the label is “Lineage ATL Records”, I started making music over 10 years ago in 2015. My inspiration for becoming a business owner came from many years of being an entrepreneur. Music is my passion so it was an easy choice for me.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been tough at times because the music business is very challenging. The marketing can be expensive when you are trying to push an Artist and being able to get the right amount of exposure. So this business comes with a lot of hard work and dedication and commitment.

I’m proud of the foundation that I have been able to build with my record label. I am the CEO of Lineage ATL Records a new and up and coming company that is based in Atlanta Ga. Jo Blow is the main Artist on the label with 3 projects out right now. I am working towards building my brand to become a household brand that people will recognize.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think the most important qualities and characteristics that are important to me is that you have to be able to be a person who is consistent, confident, motivated, patient, and being someone who believes in themselves. You have to believe in your product and you have to be willing to sacrifice and understand that it takes time to build a brand that people will embrace.
