Check Out Melanie Avalon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melanie Avalon

Hi Melanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I initially pursued a career as an actress, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a double B.A. in film and theatre. The perfectly timed rise of podcasting and influencer culture led me down a more entrepreneurial, self-sustaining path—one where I could create my own shows, develop content on my own terms, and cultivate deep trust with my audience.

I am so grateful that I now get to explore and learn fascinating topics to share through my podcasts—[The Melanie Avalon Biohacking Podcast, The Intermittent Fasting Podcast, and The Mind Blown Podcast]—where I interview some of the coolest, most brilliant minds out there. Everyone from Gabor Maté, to Ice Man Wim Hof ,to P90X’s Tony Horton, longevity legend David Sinclair, and even Burt Ward, the original Robin from Batman!

I’ve also had the incredible opportunity to create my dream supplement line, AvalonX, and develop other products designed to enhance and support my community’s well-being—including an upcoming EMF-blocking product line and a high-antioxidant Glow Coffee. I’m even currently building a dating app (involving, teaser, the role of diet!) to help like-minded people connect in meaningful ways.

It’s been an exciting journey, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! ✨

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not. My obsession with biohacking actually came from my own health struggles. I used to think I was doing everything “right”—eating what I thought was healthy, following conventional wellness advice—but I still dealt with persistent fatigue, brain fog, and unexplained health issues. That led me down the rabbit hole of biohacking, where I discovered the power of intermittent fasting, optimizing nutrition, and understanding how things like light exposure, EMFs, sleep, and even mindfulness impact our biology. What started as my own healing journey turned into a passion for sharing cutting-edge health insights with others through my podcasts and product lines.

Beyond the personal health challenges, I was nervous to completely embrace life as an entrepreneur. It can be terrifying to step away from the stability of a traditional 9-5 job, where you have a steady paycheck and a predictable path. With entrepreneurship, you’re constantly taking risks, making decisions with no guarantees, and learning to trust your instincts.

I’ve definitely had my fair share of failures and hard lessons along the way. I’ve been scammed, had business ventures that didn’t pan out, and even encountered toxic business relationships that forced me to set boundaries and stand up for myself. As challenging as those experiences were, they taught me resilience, discernment, and how to build businesses that truly align with my values. Every setback has been a stepping stone to something better, and I wouldn’t trade those lessons for anything.

At the end of the day, the road may not have been smooth, but it’s been worth it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m known for cultivating deep trust with my audience, built through years of dedication to delivering the highest quality content—whether through my podcasts, my products, or my personal recommendations.

With my podcasts—[The Melanie Avalon Biohacking Podcast, The Intermittent Fasting Podcast, and The Mind Blown Podcast]—I spend months researching each topic and guest, so that I may ask the most appropriate questions and deliver to my audience the most comprehensive, nuanced, and valuable insights possible. Whether I’m speaking with world-renowned health experts like Robb Wolf, biohacking pioneers like Dave Asprey, and/or inspiring women like Dr. Amani Ballour or Miesha Tate, my goal is always the same: to uncover information that truly matters and can transform lives, and inspire people in the process.

That same dedication carries over into my products. I refuse to cut corners or compromise. Every product I create is the absolute best of the best, designed with quality, efficacy, and integrity at the forefront. I created my supplement line AvalonX to be free of problematic fillers, housed in glass bottles to help prevent leeching of toxins into the environment. From my AvalonX magnesium supplements, to berberine, to spirulina, all the products are tested multiple times for purity and potency, and to be free of common allergens, heavy metals, and mold.

I’m particularly excited about my upcoming Glow Coffee. We specifically sought out and roast our beans to be high in CGA – the powerhouse antioxidant responsible for many of coffee’s renowned health benefits! Unlike typical coffee, which can be riddled with mold and mycotoxins, Glow Coffee is lab-tested to ensure it’s pure, clean, and of the highest quality. We are super concerned with sustainabilty: Our beans are sourced from FUDAM, a cooperative of organic-certified and Rainforest Alliance–certified growers in La Unión, Nariño. These farmers use sustainable practices like shade-grown cultivation, soil regeneration, and water preservation, ensuring every cup supports environmental stewardship and biodiversity. And super important to me, at the heart of Glow is a commitment to empowering women. We partner with FUDAM to support women-led initiatives, fostering better living conditions and opportunities ,ad championing human rights, fair wages, and community growth. Traceability is also very important to me, and Glow Coffee will be traceable to its cooperative.

Whether it’s my podcasts, my supplement line AvalonX, my upcoming EMF-blocking product line, or Glow Coffee, my mission is always the same: to create the absolute best, to provide real value, and to elevate the lives of my community.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
People see me interviewing world-renowned experts, hosting multiple podcasts, and constantly creating content, so they may assume I’m a naturally outgoing, extroverted person. In reality, I recharge by being alone. I deeply value my social interactions, but I also need time to step back, reflect, and recover. I thrive on deep, meaningful conversations (which is why podcasting is truly my dream job!), yet I also need plenty of quiet space to think, create, and process everything I learn.

This is why I believe boundaries are so important! I believe setting them early and proactively—rather than too late and out of burnout—is key to maintaining balance, energy, and creativity. By being intentional with my time and energy, I can show up fully present for the people and projects that matter most.

For some other rapid fire surprising things people might not know about me: my favorite movie is the Lord of the Rings Rings trilogy and I love Star Trek, I like reading junk food reviews even though I don’t eat any of it, and I was always in math olympics growing up.
