Today we’d like to introduce you to Antony Robinson.
Hi Antony, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey to becoming a podcaster and podcast producer has been anything but a straight line. For over a decade, from the age of 21 to 35, I ventured into numerous businesses, each one ultimately falling short of long-term success. Looking back, however, I realize those experiences weren’t failures, but rather crucial stepping stones.
I’ve worn many hats over the years – from a rapper honing my communication skills, to an executive producer learning the harsh realities of content creation and financial risk, to a financial coach developing my ability to guide and empower others, and even as an ordained minister deepening my understanding of spiritual principles and connection. I also spent time as a freelance video producer, gaining practical skills in content creation and storytelling.
All of these seemingly disparate experiences have uniquely equipped me for what I do today. Now, alongside my brother-in-law, Henry A. Harden III, I co-host and produce the ‘Be More 2 Do More’ podcast. It’s a leadership podcast where we connect with purpose-driven millennial leaders, sharing personal experiences and spiritual principles to inspire authenticity and build influence in their careers.
What I love most about this chapter is the opportunity to share the unfolding revelation of Jesus Christ in my life, alongside the often-turbulent yet ultimately rewarding journey of entrepreneurship. Those past ‘failures’ have given me a rich tapestry of experiences and insights that allow me to connect with our audience on a deeper level and produce content that hopefully resonates and empowers.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not. The road has been far from smooth, and the primary struggle has been a deep journey of self-discovery – truly understanding who I am, rather than who I thought I should be.
It’s been easy for me to get caught up in admiration for others, thinking, ‘I want to do what they do.’ This led to a significant struggle with comparison. I would look at individuals I admired and try to emulate their paths, failing to recognize that, as I’ve come to understand, the Lord has uniquely created and purposed me.
For a long time, I carried a vision within me, but I lacked the ability to articulate it clearly. I now realize this was because the timing wasn’t right. It’s often the case that when God gives you a vision, it doesn’t immediately make logical sense. It’s as time progresses, as technology evolves, and as generational ideologies shift, that the vision from the past begins to crystallize.
My struggle stemmed from this lack of immediate clarity. Because I hadn’t yet seen anything quite like what God was showing me, I leaned on familiar comparisons, looking to the identities and paths of those I admired, rather than fully embracing the unique identity God has given me.
So, the biggest hurdle has been shedding those borrowed identities and truly discovering my authentic self. What I do, and what I have always done, ultimately flows from who I am, or rather, who I am continuously becoming.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At its core, Be More 2 Do More is more than just a podcast; it’s a burgeoning brand dedicated to empowering purpose-driven millennial leaders. Currently in a dynamic growth phase, we are focused on building a strong and engaged audience through consistent, valuable content shared across all major podcast platforms, YouTube, and various social media channels. The podcast itself is produced under my company, Robinson Media Solutions, LLC, with a long-term vision to expand and produce other impactful purpose-driven and faith-based podcasts once Be More 2 Do More has firmly established itself.
What sets us apart? Our unique perspective comes from my diverse background, which includes experiences in music, media production, coaching, and ministry. This eclectic journey allows us to communicate and synthesize ideas in a way that captures the attention of individuals who are genuinely eager for both spiritual and personal development. We offer a refreshing blend of practical leadership advice grounded in faith, inspiring authenticity and a deeper sense of purpose.
What are we most proud of brand wise? We are incredibly proud of the growing recognition of the Be More 2 Do More brand as a source of genuine encouragement and actionable insights for leaders seeking holistic growth. The positive feedback we’ve received about the podcast’s impact on our listeners’ lives is rewarding.
What do we want your readers to know about our brand and upcoming offerings? Be More 2 Do More is committed to equipping millennial leaders to build influence in their careers by first focusing on who they are becoming. We believe that true impact flows from inner transformation. We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release in May of our brand-new Leadership Journal (What Am I Doing WRITE?). This journal is designed to cater to every facet of a leader’s life – spiritual, physical, mental, relational, and career-focused. It’s a comprehensive tool intended to support their journey towards integrated growth and greater impact. We invite your readers to connect with us on their favorite podcast platform and stay tuned for the release of the journal – we believe it will be a valuable resource for anyone striving to lead with purpose and authenticity.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 5-10 years, I foresee significant growth and evolution within the podcasting industry, largely driven by the continued dominance of streaming and Over-The-Top (OTT) media consumption. This shift empowers individuals with unprecedented control over their content choices and viewing schedules, naturally creating a fertile ground for the expansion of on-demand audio like podcasts.
While some might argue that the podcasting space is becoming saturated, I believe we are only scratching the surface of its potential. The increasing fragmentation of audiences and the desire for niche content actually create more opportunities, not fewer. The key will be for creators to identify and deeply serve specific niches with engaging content. Generalist podcasts will likely find it harder to stand out compared to those that cater to a focused audience with tailored information and perspectives.
