Hi KD, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey started with a love for hair and beauty that turned into a calling. What began as doing hair in my home, just trying to make ends meet, eventually became the foundation for Krownd by KDiorr

I was a young mom, hustling, learning through trial and error, and building my clientele one head at a time. I didn’t have everything figured out, but I had a vision to create a luxury beauty experience that made people feel confident, empowered, and beautiful. Through dedication, prayer, and a whole lot of late nights, I turned that vision into reality.

Now, my business has grown into more than just a salon service. I offer custom wigs, quickweaves, extensions, and beauty essentials through DiorrBeaute’Essentials. I also lead a cheer program that empowers young girls through discipline, teamwork, and self-expression. My journey has had its challenges, but every step taught me something valuable. I’m still growing, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come and even more excited for where I’m headed.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all
it’s definitely been a journey full of ups and downs.
There were plenty of times I wanted to give up. I’ve had to balance motherhood, financial struggles, self-doubt, and the pressure of trying to build something solid from scratch. There were moments where I didn’t have clients, I questioned if I was doing the right thing, and I even worked for free just to keep my name out there.

I didn’t come from a background with business knowledge or a huge support system, so I had to learn everything hands-on how to market myself, how to manage money, how to build a brand, and how to protect my peace in the process. I’ve lost friendships, made sacrifices, and had to start over more than once. But every setback taught me something valuable and made me stronger.

The road hasn’t been smooth, but it’s been worth it. Every obstacle shaped me into the woman and entrepreneur I am today and I wouldn’t trade that growth for anything.

I specialize in healthy hair care, quickweaves, custom wigs, extensions, and protective styles that help women feel powerful and put-together. Through DiorrBeaute’Essentials, I also offer luxury beauty products, from hair bundles to press-ons, tape-ins, skincare, and other essentials that make beauty convenient but still high-quality.

What sets my brand apart is the personal care and attention I give every client. Whether it’s a first-time install or a long time customer, I aim to provide an experience not just a service. I take pride in educating my clients on maintaining their hair and offering looks that last without damaging their natural beauty.

One thing I’m most proud of is how much my brand has evolved. I started with just my hands, talent, and passion—and now I’ve created a full lifestyle brand that represents strength, beauty, hustle, and growth. I’ve also extended my passion into the community by mentoring and coaching young girls through cheerleading, helping build their confidence and discipline.

I want readers to know that when they choose my brand, they’re not just booking a service they’re investing in quality, care, and a woman who truly wants to see other women win. My goal is to continue building Diorr Beauté into a household name that represents excellence in beauty both inside and out.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Stay open, be genuine, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Mentors come in many forms you can learn from people online, at events, or just by observing those doing what you want to do. What’s worked best for me is showing up consistently, staying true to myself, and being willing to learn.
