Today we’d like to introduce you to Michely Pacheco.
Hi Michely, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began in São Paulo, Brazil, and later brought me to Atlanta in 2007. Although I started in the nursing field, my passion for creativity and connection led me to a different path.
I began by selling Brazilian Demi-fine Jewelry from a butterfly-patterned box, visiting clients personally. In 2021, I officially opened MK Jewelry, Atlanta’s first store specializing in authentic Brazilian jewelry.
Today, MK Jewelry has grown into two physical stores and a strong community built on trust, quality, and elegance. More than selling jewelry, my mission has always been to inspire women to feel confident, beautiful, and empowered through every piece they wear
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth.
When I first started, I faced all the challenges of building a brand from scratch in a new country, from limited resources to not knowing many people in the market. I sold jewelry out of a box, visiting clients personally, often balancing everything with the demands of family life.
There were moments of doubt, financial risks, and a lot of trial and error, especially learning how to structure and scale a business professionally. But every challenge pushed me to grow, and looking back, I see those struggles as essential parts of the journey. They shaped the resilience and the values that MK Jewelry stands on today.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up in São Paulo, I was always very observant and creative. I loved anything that allowed me to express myself, whether it was art, fashion, or simply paying attention to the little details that made things beautiful.
At the same time, I was naturally a caring and empathetic person, which led me to initially pursue a career in nursing. I always had a strong desire to help people feel better, whether emotionally or physically. Looking back, I realize that even though my career path changed, that same spirit stayed with me, today, I help women feel more confident and empowered through the jewelry and experiences we create at MK Jewelry.
