Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolyn C. Lowe.
Hi Carolyn C., thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
So my name is Carolyn C. Lowe known as C. Lowe or some just call me Lowe for short. I’m a content creator and podcaster for Following The Call Podcast where I focus on Faith, beauty, wellness, and teaching others how to generate income from home through online sales using digital products.
I started my journey with creating content back in 2016. This journey started as a way for me to create brand awareness for my then virgin hair company. From creating beauty content I began to attract companies who asked me to promote their products online with the visual content I was already creating for my own brand.
I knew back then I had a knack for being on camera and showing up in the digital space. Overtime it morphed into me sharing my personal faith journey with all I was learning through life’s ups and downs as I grew into womanhood.
I’ve done everything from fashion designing, selling hair, affiliate marketing with wellness and weight loss products, music video modeling and more. The more I grew out of my vixen era and developed my relationship with Christ, my messaging became clearer that there was a call on my life larger than I understood. With the influence I was blessed with I began to share my journey of how doors were opened and closed the closer I became with Christ.
In 2023 I created a digital product that flopped which led me to seeking knowledge on Biblical principles about building wealth and what the purpose of money actually was.
After working so many 9 to 5’s in the corporate space I felt the Lord inviting me to turn my pain into purpose by teaching others how to build businesses and scale their income without working jobs they were never fulfilled in. As I continue on my path of using my creative abilities, I now show others it’s possible to carve out a space for entrepreneurial endeavors with the simple skills you already have. Using digital products and reselling knowledge to their communities to generate passive income. I always tell my audience think about the one skill you have that you do better than anyone else you know, find 50 people who need help with that one thing and there is your space for opportunity and income.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The greatest challenge I’ve had along this journey is focusing on things I’m passionate about and having to have real hard conversations with myself about the fact that Passion doesn’t always equal income.
The moment you try to make your passion, a profit it no longer is the thing you enjoy doing. Coming to the realization that your profit is in serving others.
It took me 12 years to realize I wasn’t generating the income. I wanted to see in my business because I had not made my business about serving others. My business was always focused on serving me. If you’re in business and you’re the only person it serves, you will continue to be broke.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Outside of creating content that bills brand awareness for following the call podcast. I focus more on inspiring other 9 to 5 business owners to take necessary actions that will move the needle from where they are to where they are called to be.
I specialize in helping other business owners, generate content, ideas call to actions and messaging behind their brands that will attract a buying audience for the products or services they sell.
What I’m most proud of is living a selfless life, and on my journey to becoming a CEO being able to help other business owners also become CEOs. One thing people don’t understand about entrepreneurship is until you work your business to the point that you have employees you don’t have a business you just bought another job.
The thing that separates me from others is my ability to adapt to change, pivot when needed, and ultimately never being afraid to take a risk or start something new if it means bettering the quality of my life overall.
