Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are always struggles along the way. The biggest battle any creative will ever have, is firstly overcoming any negative self-talk or thinking. And creating a belief system of knowing you can do what you set your mind to.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is focused in fashion, beauty and lifestyle illustration. I am known for injecting emotions and layers into my work that allow others to connect to it. I am proud of a lot of things, because for a very long time I never thought I would be able to do what I do now. It’s been exciting to see my art on hit Netflix show’s like Emily in Paris, my work being sold in IKEA’s worldwide, being interviewed by my idol, Sara Blakely, and traveling the world on cruises to teach art the last couple of years.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Certainly my Professors in art school, my High School Art teacher, Ms. Lyle and all the people who bought work from me in the early years in my Etsy shop. Without that type of support, I do not think I would be here today.
