Check Out Hollywood Cue’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hollywood Cue.

Hi Hollywood , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Honestly, I never wanted to be a rapper I thought I was going to the NFL. But after I got to college in 2017, and I realized it wasn’t for me, I started dibbling and dabbling with music to keep it real with you. One of my mentors ended hearing one of my songs one day, and was like “yo, you got talent Holmes, keep working you’ll find your sound.” After that I was in the studio multiple times a week, challenging myself to get better and better. After while I started realizing I could make all kinds of music. Trap, Drill, NY drill, Country, rnb, westcoast vibe, backpack rap… I made sure to never put myself in a box, because I never wanted to labeled as just a rapper, I wanted to be known as an artist.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would be lying if I said this journey was a smooth process, I been through more ups and downs than a rollercoaster at six flags Holmes. The hardest part was learning how to separate my everyday life from my music life. I think people realize when we (artist) first starting making music and start our careers, we’re still knee deep in our personal lives, while still learning how to be an artist/business. When the cameras are on, and the music is playing is one life, but when the phone start ringing and people need favors is a whole different can of worms, you feel me?

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Yall probably won’t believe it, but by day I’m a professional residential painter, but I also have my own car custom business as well where I fix and paint rims, restore headlights, and repair interior damage. I wear a lot of hats throughout life man, the best part of it is I get to be creative everyday of my life, I don’t have to sit at a desk or cubicle.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love everything about Atlanta, the culture, the food, the fashion, the music, the nightlife. It’s Atlanta you can’t help but love it.
