Life & Work with Tivoli Suresh Chhabriya of Alpharetta, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tivoli Suresh Chhabriya.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in India and studied to become a Chartered Accountant. Looking for a lucrative career, I realized that Chartered Accountancy was a good path to pursue – but I always wanted to find something that fueled my creative side as well. I dabbed in writing on and off whenever I could but never stuck with it long term. I’d have creative bursts and I would write and then life would happen, and my writing took the back seat. But I never stopped wanting to help the world through my words — and 1.5 years ago I made the decision to sit down with all the work I had written over the years and see if I could make something tangible out of it — and I sat down every day for 1 year after that to make sure that my dream of having a published book saw the light of day and finally ‘Metamorphosis – a series of short essays exploring life’s questions and lessons’ was born in November 2024. One of my proudest accomplishments in life. The book is now available across all Amazon marketplaces in Kindle and Paperback version.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Well, it was a road filled with a lot of self-doubt for sure. Not having any background or experience in the field of creative writing, and to even believe that I could reach the end of the journey of publishing my very own book felt impossible sometimes. But a lot of faith in my vision and having a very strong ‘why’ helped me accomplish this dream.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
So I am a Chartered Accountant by qualification and work as a Business & Operations Controller at Elekta. It’s an incredible company whose mission is to provide hope for everyone dealing with cancer. But I am also a published author as of November 2024. I self-published my first book called ‘Metamorphosis’ recently and it is a series of short essays exploring life’s questions and lessons. It’s been a labor of love worked over many years and gives me immense joy to have accomplished this goal. This is definitely an accomplishment I am very proud of, simply because it took a lot of digging deep into my soul and I wasn’t sure if I could reach the end at times. But with a lot of honesty and courage and soul-searching, I made it!

It’s a book of short essays exploring some important topics on life and gives the reader a different, philosophical perspective. It helps the reader look at life with more hope, even if things don’t always go the way you want. It helps you as a reader understand that there is more to life than you can see right now and it may sometimes just be a bend in the road, and not the end. All it might need is looking at things from a lens, different from what we have been doing until now.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Honesty. About my life experiences and what they had taught me, so the words in the book could come from a real and honest place. Without the rawness or realness, it would not be able to accomplish what I wanted it to.
